What's hard to understand is the Windies fast bowling trio are just as impressive as our big 3
So why have they not won more test matches
Answer is their batting line up is just as UNIMPRESSIVE as ours is

So at the end of Day 2 in the test, it's a surprising neck and neck struggle between us and them:
West Indies took a 10-run first-innings lead but Australia have got their lead back up to 82 runs.

Though another nightmare day for Australia's top order which has left the first Test hanging in the balance.

Konstas chops on for 5
I can see his problem
He's not playing any aggressive shots because if he gets out to sea wild shot or a charge at the bowler it will be classified as unforgivable
So he's stuck sat by the crease and balls just short of a length are difficult to play . In the end how he got out was unlucky but was very lucky to survive the 2nd over .Konstas is not playing his natural game and its hurting .
So far Windies have had a bit of luck
Uzzie out LBW when it looked high but given out on field and ball tracker had it just clipping the top of the bails
Uzzie scores 47 & 15
Konstas scores 3 & 5

Green looking a little more positive 9 off 16 so far
2-41 we lead by 31
They have messed with Sam’s head with his crappy development.

Raw talent is there, but sports science and coaching isn't there to make them do what Starc, Hazlewood and Cummo have done for almost a decade.

Our batting once again let's us down,we may have the best bowling attack in the world (still) but they are ageing.I have little doubt we will retain the Ashes during summer but we really need to unearth the next generation of cricketers and have them beating down the doors demanding selection in the next 18 months.
You have little doubt we will beat the Poms ,As things stand right now im afraid I have a lot of doubt
Certain starters with the bat
Kwajaja ,Smith ,Head ,Carey
Certain starters with the ball Cummins ,Starc
That's 6 out of 11
We need another 6 to standout out the next 5 months so their selection is obvious
Candidates Konstas ,Labuschagne , Green , Inglis , Webster ,Marsh , McSweeney , Hazelwood , Boland , Lyon , Kunemann ,Murphy
Of these 12 the 6 chosen better be in good form and prove it

First hour day 3
Head & Webster batting so far 50 runs added and NO wickets
4-142 lead 132 touch wood so far so good
( once a man fell from the 80th floor and as he was falling people on different levels could hear him saying "so far so good " ) LOL

Head out to a shooter ball kept very low about a foot off the ground was hitting middle half way up .Travis just walked !
Unlucky dismissal for 61

Carey comes in 2 sweeps to a ball on the stumps
I wish he wouldn't do that as he's got out many times doing that and does it twice in his first 3 balls Not smart imo

Lunch Aust 5-181
Morning session Aust 1-89
Lead 171 with 5 wickets remaining in 2nd innings
Our problem has been top order with double failures to
Konstas 8 runs ave 4 Green 18 runs ave 9 and Inglis 17 runs ave 8.5
In contrast Uzzie 62 runs ave 31 ,Head 120 runs ave 60
ATM Webster 60 runs ( once out ) Carey 16 runs ( once out)

When 3 of top 4 fail its hard to win but if we bowl well we can win !

Webster out for 67 a leg side strangle both wickets today a bit unlucky
6-208
Both wickets of course to Shamar Joseph
Carey now cutting loose takes 14 off Seales over
