They have messed with Sam’s head with his crappy development.Konstas chops on for 5
I can see his problem
He's not playing any aggressive shots because if he gets out to sea wild shot or a charge at the bowler it will be classified as unforgivable
So he's stuck sat by the crease and balls just short of a length are difficult to play . In the end how he got out was unlucky but was very lucky to survive the 2nd over .Konstas is not playing his natural game and its hurting .
So far Windies have had a bit of luck
Uzzie out LBW when it looked high but given out on field and ball tracker had it just clipping the top of the bails
Uzzie scores 47 & 15
Konstas scores 3 & 5
Green looking a little more positive 9 off 16 so far
2-41 we lead by 31
I would argue Sam hasnt the game for test cricket at the moment. They have messed with Sam’s head with his crappy development.
No doubt has work to do, but the way they have handled him has been poor.I would argue Sam hasnt the game for test cricket at the moment.
Has a lot of hardwork ahead of him if he is to make it as a test opener.
Raw talent is there, but sports science and coaching isn't there to make them do what Starc, Hazlewood and Cummo have done for almost a decade. What's hard to understand is the Windies fast bowling trio are just as impressive as our big 3
So why have they not won more test matches
Answer is their batting line up is just as UNIMPRESSIVE as ours is
Joseph is a star.Raw talent is there, but sports science and coaching isn't there to make them do what Starc, Hazlewood and Cummo have done for almost a decade.
You have little doubt we will beat the Poms ,As things stand right now im afraid I have a lot of doubtOur batting once again let's us down,we may have the best bowling attack in the world (still) but they are ageing.I have little doubt we will retain the Ashes during summer but we really need to unearth the next generation of cricketers and have them beating down the doors demanding selection in the next 18 months.
