Cronk v Marshall.

I know copper cronk is considered the premier half in the comp, but benji's maturity, vision, options and capacity for the brilliant are starting to challenge that "given". Interested to know the comparative assists cause benji just keeps setting them up. Keep it going Tigers.

Anyway, Benji was second in try assists going into last night. He's in front after notching up 3 try assists last night.

Lets judge who is the best controlling half in the comp. I think Benji has that ability and his recent performances are at that level. He has to do it though for a longer time period.

Lots of noise stating that he can't be that dominant controlling type player or that he is better just running it out wide and trying to create something. I think that when he has greater responsibility and is more controlled he is a better player.

Cronk for mine, but Benji turned a huge corner recently. He also has the greater natural talent…hope he keeps it up.

LOL.. one good game at half and people are comparing marshall to cronk. even though benji said he basically played at half for 2 years, he never produced a "half-like" performance.
i will pass my judgement when benji performs like this consistently. if he does what he did on saturday, every game like cronk does, then benji's natural talent woud give him the edge.

Agree, I suppose its a choice between consistence and pure brilliance.

Benji is one of those players that can really turn on something special (Hayne is another). I just love watching Benji play, never know what to expect.

I will never ever swap benji marshall for any other player we have the best half in the comp fire up tigers to to make it 7 in a row and hopfully he can win dally m.

Ummmm, no.

Cronk has had unbelievable games where he scores tries and sets up near 5 tries.

Benji is more exciting but he is not a better halfback **YET**.

IMO Cronk and Thurston are about equal in the halfback ranks. I would still rather have Thurston.

When he does that consistently then we can speak about this comparison.

I remember a comment by someone that cooper isn't naturally gifted with amazing vision etc that Benji or Thurston have but works tirelessly hard on his game.

That's not a criticism in anyway too Cooper as he is still world class.
