ABC News has reported that Cronulla is under investigation for a Melbourne like salary cap rort - they reported that Shane Flanagan has been operating a bank account unbeknownst to authorities that has been funding players outside the cap. A sponsor has also owned up that he was making secret payments to Paul Gallen outside of the clubs knowledge.

This is exactly why cronulla is the seediest club… Don't know if I want it to be true though, I like some of the sharks & wouldn't like to see them under that much harassment and humiliation (Just carney, lewis and Gordon, the rest I don't care about)

I seem to remember the under the table payments to Gallen surfacing earlier in the year - the Flanagan secret account is new though - Shane has been caught out on a number of lies now - will be interesting to see what penalty if any the NRL hand out.

If true , the tigers are the victims in this.
Not only have they signed half our players but also out bidded us on Luke Lewis.
Some people ,like matty Johns, are saying they all do it. But if we did it we would still have players like Fifita etc.
Plus we cant afford it.
