Curtis Sironen

This kid is being fast tracked straight to premier league and at 5/8 …my view Benji at 7 ..Sironon 5/8 within a month.

Dont know about being fast tracked, I think its more about getting match fitness. Their is no doubt young Siro is being looked at and maybe he will get a crack at the big time before not so long but at the moment I think its all about match fitness and will drop back to the u20s after the bye

Have not seen much of young Siro for a while, last time I saw him he was a tall kid and not too big in the frame, how is he devloping size wise nowadays.

He'll probably be 100kg by seasons end, or close to it. He came into pre-season at 95kg, but he's still growing and will do for the next couple of years given his age. He'll end up over 100kg without too may dramas.

The only issue I see for Sirro in the NYC is the talent Payten has at his disposal in the halves this year. I think it opens the door somewhat for young Sirro to play some State Cup and possibly FG.

This is his 3rd year of playing NYC and he is still eligible for NYC again next year. He will be our next junior to debut in a few weeks.

Is Sheens considering him in the halves?

I'm guessing he will be on the bench as the reserve back and come on late in the game in the halves or fullback.

given he has missed so much footy, id dont like the idea of rushing a 19yo back into NRL. Once he gets some games under his belt, happy to see him get a crack if form warrents it.

My question is at what position?? I reckon he is looking more and more like an edge back rower, similar to the role Anasta played at the Roosters a couple years back

Thanks Willow.

I havent seen anything of him. But to me I think unless anyone is an absolute superstar they should come through the State Cup system before first grade. To my way of thinking there are already 4-5 players in the state cup who if given an opportunity would go well at NRL level. - Chisolm, Hitchcox, Simona etc etc all with ability just need a chance.

Young Sirro is liability in defence

Hopefully with time this part of his game will improve. I rember Chris Lawrence looked shaky in defence when he first started in the NRL and is now a very good defender. For mine last year near the end of the season in the NYC Curtis defence was not as good as it was at the start of last year, he may have been playing injures at the end of last year.

As much as I like Jacob Miller as a player in attack his defence is also a long way short of being good enough for the NRL level.
