Moses didn't get a single point from the Warriors game?

Hard to believe.

Yep that was suss. Do all the votes from every game get published anywhere? Would of liked to see who got the votes in that match.
Would of thought Taumalolo was worth at least 1 vote for the final round match vs Titans as well.

Not sure. This why the Brownlow is so much better. Run through the games tell us who got points. It really doesn't take that long and they can start from Rd 10 if they want. Having Matt Johns say nobody polled from that round so he can squeeze another "gag" in makes for crap TV.

Agree with your other comment too. I thought he was a shoein after Cronk didn't poll.

You guys know that the esteem judging panal consists of the likes of Dean Ritchie James Hooper Bwaith Anasta Mark Gasnier Wally Lewis Joey Johns and Freddy Fittler…..right...

It's a popularity contest more than anything else...

Bring back the Rothmans....

The Dally Team of the Year always s*** me. Moses got more votes than Maloney. Give him 5/8 of the year. (Same goes for Barba & Tedesco)

And Milford polled above Maloney too.

Judging positional awards solely based on Dally M points scored isn't subjective enough.

Maloney is in a team full of stars. When they won he had to share points with 7 or 8 other players. When Tiges won, Moses was almost guaranteed points. Maloney had the better year though that was plain to see. Teddy on the other hand clearly had the most influence from the back with maybe only Munster rivaling him this is despite Barba polling better.

I know, and I mostly agree. It just seems weird to go by the 3-2-1 for the main award and discard it for the positional awards.

And while Maloney had to share points, it's hard to get many 3-pointers in a losing side.

It'd be interesting to know who he gave points to. They should take scores from 3 sources and use the combined results to calculate 3-2-1

When players go to multiple clubs and they become Grand Finalist when those clubs are usually also rans I think its more than luck

Maloney is one of those players where you know what you'll get every week , his best and worst aren't too far apart

WT's NEED many more like him 😛ray:
