David Klemmer #264

Surely too good to be true. Id pay money out of my own pocket to see Woods left like a shag on a rock at Belmore next year with his man crush gone. Imagine if he we signed him. How long will Woods be wishing he could have the last 3 months over? 5 years? 10 years?

This would make my day. I still want him to go though. I just don't rate him and I think he is a big reason we haven't performed. We pay a player with minimal impact way too much money and that affects our squad.

Oh he's gone. If we somehow signed Klemmer, we'd have no spot for him. I'd still offer him a contract though. 200k as a bench prop. Take it or leave it.

Think this may just be a bit of smoke put out by Klemmer's agent so that he gets a better deal with the Dogs. No way I see this happening. I hope to God I'm wrong though. As GNR4LIFE said I'd pay money out of my own pocket to see Woods be robbed of his man crush.

3 kids at 23? Wow, he has certainly been busy.

As for the article, I'm not buying it. He's just bluffing to get whatever it is he wants.

That would be sweet irony, but I'm sure the Roosters would find the money for him.

It would still be sweet even if he didn't come here, because you know Klemmer is a major reason why Woods is going there.

Surely this is too good to be true. The irony if we were to sign Klemmer would be priceless.

Just read a comment from someone saying that the issue Klemmer is having is with his management, nothing to do with the club. Not sure how reliable he is, but he sounded like he knew what he was talking about. And really, this seems way too good to be true.

Wow,

Give him what he wants.
A starting spot and a decent cheque.

Would be so worth it.

Canterbury Bulldogs deny David Klemmer has requested a release from his contract

CANTERBURY have denied a report suggesting representative forward David Klemmer has requested a release from the final three years of his contract.

Klemmer, according to Fairfax Media, asked the club for a release from his lucrative deal.

The NSW forward is apparently annoyed over money he was promised as part of his existing four-year deal, which expires at the end of the 2020 season.

Bulldogs chief executive Raelene Castle refuted the notion that Klemmer had requested a release.

Klemmer has recently said he was thrilled the club had signed one of his best mates, Blues teammate Aaron Woods, from Wests Tigers.

However, the arrival of Woods, coupled with experienced props James Graham and Aiden Tolman being on the books at Belmore in 2018, means the club is top heavy in the front row.

Bulldogs veterans Sam Kasiano and Greg Eastwood are believed to be on the outer at the club despite being on contract until the end of next season.

The Tigers, who have bolstered their pack with Kiwi duo Ben Matulino and Russell Packer, are in the market for more forwards.

Another of Klemmer’s long-term mates, Canterbury five-eighth Josh Reynolds, has signed a four-year deal reportedly worth $3 million to play at the Tigers from next season.

Newcastle, Parramatta, Storm and Manly have also believed to be keen to add depth to their packs.

Canterbury announced the re-signing of fullback Will Hopoate earlier this week until the end of 2020 while hooker Michael Lichaa is yet to strike a deal with the club with the three-year contract he signed after leaving Cronulla in 2015 running out at the end of this season.
