I've seen a lot of reports today that Nofo is very close to signing a 3yr extension at Tigers. Rumor is for about 450k/season.

$450k is very reasonable money. Would be really happy with that

Made the mistake of looking at a WT facebook group to see if there were links to the Nofo reports. Stumbled onto a thread calling for WT to sign Benji now that he's rejected Hull.

Facebook NRL is a disturbing place.

Best thing I ever did was leave all the Wests tigers Facebook groups hahaha

West’s Tigers argument and personal abuse page is a laugh ?

Thanks for the tip, I'll be having a few beers and a good read of that tonite.
And I thought I disliked Pascoe....

I really think we can’t afford Nofa, I love the guy for what he brings but I think he’s too expensive if he’s asking more than $325k. I really do.
Nofa hasn’t played rep footy or finals. Take a look at the 2 wingers chosen for the blues ahead of Nofa? Both on much less than he’s asking. JAC $375k and Tupou $220k. Our admin is on track now to deliver a well balanced cap. The horror of 2017 is well behind us now . Let’s leave it there..please?

He's already on over 400k so I can't see why he'd settle for less when he has improved.

IDK? We were a mess when we signed him for that big money. We also signed Reynolds for $850k after telling the big 4 we couldn’t afford to keep all of them. I say make it right at the first opportunity.

So, your saying give him a new contract for less money?

I guess so. If he is on $450k now, we definitely paid overs. I would like to see them strike some common ground at $325k and at the club’s discretion top it up with allowances.

As a footer..I would like to see the club come in around say $500k under the cap, then use that for end of season performance bonuses.

We've a low bar. On what he has been on he should have been producing every year in attack and defence.

He was still at Kings, this is 2018.

An easy fix, if we really want him, give him an offer of $750k per year for 3 yrs and give him a week to advise us what he is doing

If he accepts we tell Nofo we are pulling our offer to him, which will give us plenty of room for others still

Straight swap Noffa for Fergo, yes or no?

no

Fergo has a better body of work whereas noffa had a really good year, Fergo probably has some baggage, I’m on the fence.

I think due to Nofas history with us, Nofa is more valuable to us than Fergo would be. With our history of how our long serving players have finished, I think it'd be good for us to have a few more happy endings on the board.

To a different team, perhaps more of an argument can be made for Fergo.

If he gets 450 that’s elite money imo. He might have got winger of the year but in a losing side. Bet he would not have achieved this in a top 4 side where other players can outshine you.

So what.

Look at Jarred Hayne when he was at Parra.
Scored a lot of their tries, was still the best player on the field.
Brett Morris at the Saints and at the Bulldogs, just over the line.

Maybe Nofo may have not scored as many in say Souths or the Storm. Maybe he would have had more opportunities to score more. Robert Jennings just had to stay outside the over talented Souths backline and let everyone focus on GI and Gagai, get the flick pass and run over the line. In our team, we see Robert score next to nothing without those players of the same ability.

I'm glad to see Nofo making the impact on the wing he is. He is worth 450k and goes over the line for us.

Reynolds , Packer and Mbye are the ones the rest of the playing group look up to as they are some of the league’s highest earners .
