HE has a point though

Moses and Lucy were leaving them high and dry , but thats been going on all season. Surely instead of airing it on social media maybe David should bring this up at a training session ( if they still have these )

Tamou is conunitally being the lazy marker also !! Hopefully moses and tamoau have a long rest for the reminder of the season

I think Noffa has played pretty poorly this season but this is spot on. You can’t blame the winger when they are constantly getting out numbered.

It happens on both edges too. Our defensive issues start much further in. Luciano is terrible, never pushed from the inside once the ball goes to the outside. Getting some forwards who can control the ruck would be a great start.

Surely in scenarios like that though the last thing the winger should be doing is rushing off the line going for an intercept? That just creates an even bigger gap for opposition to run through. And that's exactly what's been happening.

Wouldn't we be better off if he hung back and stayed on his wing then let the inside players slide out to him?

I’m guessing a and b defender are second row?

Depends where the play the ball is. It's the first and second out from marker, but many times it was A (Mbye) and B (Luch) not pushing up and putting pressure on souffs

if there's anything that can finally get him dropped, its this stupid tweet. hopefully it happens.

They'll never drop him. Lee loves him.

if our chairman stayed out of the football department and in the boardroom we'd be far better off. Pascoe as well. their football nous is horrendous. it's been reported a few times that both of them wanted Leilua and Nofoaluma on a long term deal when Hartigan and Maguire were hesitant. look at us now.

Well Bennett did say need to look at Club Management for non performing clubs not just the players.
Nofo i don't mind him singling out Mybe, i have siad it for 2 seasons now he keeps getting picked if not injuired.
The coach picks the team, same playersame results for 2 seasons.

Hard to comment on a person you don't know personally but from the outside looking in Nofa loves the accolades when he does something good but throws his arms in the air and pulls faces when he stuffs up. When there is more bad than good lately the strutting around after the occasional good thing, is a bad look. It's not all about Nofa but it looks like he sees it that way.

Nofoalooza sucks
He’s been spooking hard all his career way before the inside men were bumbling ..

4 more years 🙄

Does anyone know which happened first? Nofa resigning for 4 years, or Hartigan’s appointment?

According to Adam Hartigans linkedin he started in July 2019.

Nofa resigned in January 2021

It’s usually the last 2 in the previous tackle. The players that come up put pressure on the players outside the runner and then head back to the line.
In most teams it’s the two props, hooker and lock that make the majority of the tackles. Then back row/ prop on the side of play of the shift.
Watch how many tackles the Panthers, Eels and Storm props are in and around the vacinity of.
We’d be the only team that lets a backrower run towards a half and expects a Fullback to tackle a prop at the line.
Last time we had our forwards defending like we needed was when we had a fit Packer and Matolino in 2018. Admittedly that also might of been a coaching difference.
I still remember the amount of defence those guys did when we beat the Storm those two times.
Hass is a good example of how you want your props / a,b defenders to defend.

Yeah understand that markers are the ones to put inside pressure on, but especially against souths our A and B defends were too slow off the line and gave reynolds/ walker too much space to run causing major problems for us.

Nofoaluma needs to pull his finger out and play to a level he is capable off.. it’s that simple..

No I’m not talking about the markers.
I’m talking about the players that are on the outside of the players making the tackle. They become the A and B defenders for the next one. Watch how many first contact tackles Liddle makes compared to other hookers. You get your answer as to whether our middles are working correctly. Then for arguments sake watch 10mins of penrith and see how Fish, Yeo and Leoto line up. Maybe even watch how they looked when Fish was all at see against us.

This is where we get caught out badly when we're slow off the ground. If a defender stays down (typically a tell for the hooker to run) we're short behind the ruck. Tamou often gets caught up as well and struggles to get back to the line, necessitating another player shifting in.

I'd say he makes this decision because the chances of defending the overlap are basically zero. If he can knock the ball down (spoil) or maybe snag an intercept (as against Souths) I think that's fair enough.

Of course it looks terrible when he gets thin air, but he's saved several tries this year with fingertip intercepts to spoil attacking plays and he's grabbed several tries.

The alternative is he comes in, belts the centre and they score on the wing; or stays on his wing and the centre scores. At least he's trying something.
