David Nofoaluma #164

I thought they were the decision makers. It appeared to me the reason they sacked Maguire was because he was making decisions, they thought they should be making. As Lee said at the time, "the board wants more say" lol
The owners put in place a Board, an executive and a football department to make decisions. They finally realised two of those components were shithouse and just kept blaming the third.

Don't know if it's been suggested, when you are stupid enough (like we were) to dig a hole as deep as Nofos contract, you need to find someone even stupider to help you find a silver lining. Enter the bulldogs.

A direct swap with JAC, both stay on full pay at the new club. Bee sting Gould saves a couple of hundred k, and we upgrade from a bad overpaid W(h)inger to an ok to good overpaid winger.

Good in theory.

However, what club would actually want Nofo?
Think Storm took him out of desperation - needed a winger and knew he was available.
Gave him back as soon as they could.

Can't see the Dogs swapping JAC for a dud.

Therein lies the key point. If you are going to claim how worthless he is, you have to accept the fact he cannot be offloaded. Can’t have your cake and eat it too.

They are desperate for cash under the cap, but yeh I see your point.

Swapping a high paid winger for a high paid lesser winger... bad business.

Just following the Nofo store and the report put out a few days ago saying he & Waqa Blake will not be taking up super league deals.... maybe he's digging his heels in.

We need to keep pushing for it though.

You reckon they will swap thier thoroughbred for our donkey? For same price?
Gould may have a head like a 2nd hand washing machine but all the bits inside are well oiled and always on.
If we got that deal done then all hail Fulton I guess.

It's not the same price. JAC costs a fair bit more.

I know it's a long shot, dogs have shown they are the only club who can be more wasteful than us....and I'm desperate.

Yeah, I’m hearing that, it’s a shame he a club junior and I’m feeling the same way. He should be setting standards by now.

Noffa is mentally challenged and olam has injury issues. I think to Melbourne would be a fair swap. Both have potential for upside, but with a risk.

Despite Noffs dummy spits he's tuff won't shirk the tough meters and knows his way to the try line.

We saw against Canberra when we had a half decent side he was pretty good and knows what needs to be done.

Probably deserves sanctions but me thinking he might go very well.....in a better side going forwards.
