Because the present seems to not be your strong suit!

I’m starting to think that despite all his behaviour the last 12-18 months, he almost could be classified as a club legend. The fact it will be years before anyone breaks his record is reason enough alone. The bar isn’t very high for club legends at our club given how little success we have had over nearly 25 years.

You’re starting to become like @Jedi_Tiger with Brooks

On his day he was a good player, I’m not disputing that. You just didn’t know when he was going to decide he wanted to have a go. A true first grader has more pride.
I think early on he was a stand out for us, with some of his performances putting him up NEAR the best wingers in the game IMO. As well as scoring some memorable tries, his yardage coming out of our end was massive for us. He really had a dig; even when carrying a knee injury. To be fair, the reported attitude issues have been more recent, and seem to run parallel with his lack of onfield effort.
Anyway, it's all done now. Just a shame. Often at Wests Tigers it's not what happens but the way it happens that leaves a bad taste.

This thread has been a little negative. Here's something positive.

Nofoaluma was a gun in Supercoach. No one used to own him because he had a habit of getting dropped to reserve grade. I always used to pick him up when he made one of his many comebacks. You knew that he'd be fired up and ready to run the ball hard. One of the best base scoring CTWs in the game. Helped win me a number of head to heads and improve my ranking over the years.
Didn’t realise that sideways metres and bottom lip drops scored you stats. Late mail.

You can’t talk about those early performances without also mentioning his three carries in 35 degree heat against the Dogs last year. Our poor forwards were nearly dead doing all the hard yards. He lost me that day.

Agree mate. Again, shame how things turned out.

Not on $525K per year!

If you're on that coin - you demand selection and provide a POSITIVE example to the next tier!

He made his ongoing employment untenable...

And can suck it!!
Motivation does not work that way.
You think it does, IT DOES NOT!

Daniel H Pink in his book 'drive' shows exactly what is going on.

For highly intelligent tasks the more you pay the less well the task is done.
For low intelligence/manual tasks, mroe $$$$ works.

For a winger, I expected more our of Nofo. But I reckon we actually pushed pressure on him and changed his motivation from someone who wanted to play footy to someone seeking a pay$$$check.

^Don't do this!
Give people a challenge, I reckon that's why Luai came here. Friends and a challenge.
