David Warwick - Wests Tigers Recruitment Manager

Reading another thread about Wests Tigers Development Players under contract etc, I noticed the name Dave Warwick as Recruitment Manager (as replacement for longtime former manager Warren McDonnell).

Maybe I live under a rock but I cannot hardly remember him being mentioned re our ongoing news etc, everything goes under the Coach or CEO.

I just re-read an article from the Sydney Morning Herald, dated January 4, 2017 and his history etc is clearly set out.

With the new revised 30 players squads, no old-style Toyota Cup, revamped comps and squads etc, this role is (I would think) pretty massive with Wests Tigers operations.

Does anyone have anymore goss about Mr Warwick and the role he carries out etc?

Yeh alot has changed since this interview. He goes about with not much fanfare. But it would be interesting to know how he fits in with cleary and now the big big three have Left us.
 
He used to be at Manly .. was there for 10 years .. Bozo thought he was incompetent so got rid of him .., I think trying to lure josh Reynolds and Kyle Lovett to Manly a year ago was the last straw for Manly.. hardly an inspiring RM

Bozo stares at "incompetence" every time he looks in the mirror.He is intensely disliked by many manly supporters and ex players.

Exactly, he picked the NSW side for the whole losing run in the last 12 years

Cmon, you can't argue with his selections. Matt Cooper, I mean who has heard of GI! Surely Cooper is the NSW savior. Also Mitchell Pearce, what a leader on the field. Knows exactly what to do when the team is winning…!?

It's actually funny that Bozo kept the Manly players off the field other then Watmough.

He was there for 10 years? So he would have been responsible for the recruiting during their most successful era of football since the 70's?

That would be 2005-2015 where they won 2 premierships and made 2 more Grand finals and only missed the finals once - yep really crap glad we didn't have that kind of record

As opposed to the 3 years Bozo has been their where they have missed the finals twice in 3 years

He does recruitment. If you think recruitment has been good, then he's the boss of that. If you don't, well ditto.

If you mean exactly who did he bring over himself with only his own initiative… I am sure almost nobody can say, if such a player ever exists.
 
Apparently he did bugger at Manly while they spent 10 years well entrenched in the top 8 and won two premierships.

I meant what authority he has . Does he deal with juniors what say does he have with first grade . How does it differ from Kelly position. Ect
