What has been reported about the details of the case do not read well for JDB.
However as most reports come from the back pages rather than the front, so I will reserve my judgement. To allow him back just because the case is taking a long time would not be the right decision.

Even if they found him not guilty it's still a very bad look for the NRL and for NRL players in general.

I'm not normally one to preach morals, but he's got to be a pretty low quality human, going out night clubbing and doing what he did while his partner was at home heavily pregnant.

To the legal eagles out there what are the element of Rape, do they look into the mind of the victim or defendant for consent?


If it’s the defendant it would be pretty difficult to prove, when the defendant saying I didn’t do it.


The injuries for Hayne Victim I guess would not help his case.


Any thoughts on where the cases may go?

Being a criminal case, the defendant must be proven to be guilty beyond reasonable doubt. He does not have to prove his innonocence, the prosecution has to prove he is guilty.

I think the NRL made a huge mistake getting involved in the legal process I hate any assault especially sexual assault and the penalties are to soft, BUT YOU ARE INNOCENT TILL PROVAN GUILTY, If any of this stand down policy gets challenged in court i think the NRL would lose.
