Dear Ivan!

Biggest issue I see is the coach and players were talking up the fact during the preseason they were taught to win by being punished for losing. We now seem to be losing because of two main areas, unforced errors and our forwards dont seem to have much impact. Sure we can blame individual players for poor performances, but we have lost that go forward momentum and when we do get good field position we often give it away with unforced errors. Ivan needs to manage this with the team he selects.

If you think back "sheer64" there is a link to the forwards losing momentum and no Liddle at DH.

It doesn't make any difference who else you put there - Taylor, Reynolds, McIlwrick, Godinet or Jimmy Smith (if you like) we are not going to have the same momentum.

Hence we lose momentum, halves have more pressure on them and so we lose that quick go forward.

So I guess everyone will now blame Liddle for getting injured.

Wish him a speedy recovery we need him.

How good were the dropped balls? Could not believe some of them.

Fonua doing an AFL take with no direct pressure on him, straight through the hands. Fonua striking the ball back in-field from a kick defence. Lawrence swiping at a second-half 5th tackle miracle pass by Keary, Aloiai letting one go right through his hands, Benji not using his boot on the drop-out, Lawrence trying to pick up a wayward Tui pass on his toes… diabolical handling at times.

I read on here earlier in the week that he was being rested this week- could have played st a pinch. If true, should be back for sharks game

Tedescos replacement Lolohea ??
Doesnt come close to a hair on Tedescos ass.

Put him on the wing or get him out of the side

Gone from having the 2nd best fullback in the game to the worst. Pretty good replacement if you ask me. Keep in mind he can kick goals from the sideline.

You just sound like a hater to me - well we get than impression anyway from your repeated hateful comments.

Just telling it like it is champ. You wouldn't be offended if you didn't have a love affair with Tui.

The Fonua blind side run would be up there - sadly it was a 'hero play' that failed miserably. The Marsters offload before half time wasn't smart either.

Might be time to find the keys to the Kiama caravan park .

Ivan will be in Melbourne this week probable run with the same team without Nofo.

He can watch his kid play on tv like the rest of us …
He needs to sort out the bus ..
Engine rebuild
New rubber
**And a road worthy** :brick:

Let's just hope Ivan stays away from REPCO. No more after market parts.

Dear Ivan
Get moses before June 30
Grab Woods as well as our big guys need just that lttle bit more help
bring Matt from isp up to play hooker , he's a hooker
Grab a good centre with some speed and X factor

Ivan has made some horrendous decisions. He isn't without blame for how we are going. The very fact he again named Benji captain is a disgrace. The fact Benji is even in the team is a disgrace.

Some of his team selections have been a real blemish. We might as well put a mannequin out on the right edge. It would be more threatening than MCK.

And what did your hero Aloiai do that was so outstanding today ?
Whole team was crap … but carry on !

Well he did alot more than the usual plodders. I have time to make coffee while I wait for Eisenhuth to get on his feet.

According to the stats, he has a quicker play the ball than Elijah, Cheeky or Twal.

Hope a few people had a good sleep. The game was stressful this thread is worse.

We made so many dumb decisions on the field. Those responsible might not be held accountable, but the coach isn't blind and when better players become available then it will good night for a few of them.

You can talk about team selections, but it isn't why we lost.

The fact is we blew a chance to nail the roosters for the second time this year because of our own execution. The biggest factor not related to dumb errors was referring in the second last set. Once the game starts the players and refs decide the outcome.

The team need to own that and make up for it with victories over dragons and Souths later this year, as they are also high calibre teams. The players getting a chance at FG now, like chee kam, Fonua, Tui, who don't improve won't be there for long.

If the team selections were so poor then we shouldn't have been in any position to win the game. Dumb errors cost us and a couple of critical penalties - awarded against us, and not awarded to us.
Et is not a preferred option at DH but while Reynolds is building match fitness ET playing eighty and covering that position frees Cleary to pick the bench he wants I suppose.
A for effort again but our weaknesses are always going to hinder our success.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves and should stick to couch coaching - all the answers with no accountability.

Are you referring to Liddle?

Keeping Benji in the team has become a retrograde step.. A coach is limited by the quality of players in the team. The club has to spend ASAP what it still has left in its 2018 CAP and endeavour to bring a player or two into the team before June 30\. Otherwise the team is heading into struggle street for the remainder of this season. The only other positive option would be to blood players, i.e. Heleta to first grade fullback, from our ISP team.

The Fonua try was tough to watch. He had ample time to drop back a bit for an easy catch and a 7 tackle set.

He's a good centre, but the high ball isn't his strength - if Noffa was on, I reckon we go into half-time 2-0 up and probably roll on for a win.

I know it sucks we are losing some of these games, but we are competing. Add 2-3 high quality players and we're going to be a really hard team to beat.

We just seem to lose a bit of direction when Packer and Matulino are off the field. We need another experienced prop to go with Twal and a top-line 2nd Rower for impact.

Hooker is an issue - service is average and dummy half running is non-existent. Liddle is an awesome player, but the poor kid has been battered this season and is obviously struggling with injury. Haven't seen him in real life, but he hasn't put on enough size to handle the intensity on a weekly basis it seems. I'm sure this isn't lost on the coaching staff and they will address it. ET, Reynolds etc. are not the answer, although Reynolds single-handedly got us back in the game from hooker.

Kidding - that guy is hopeless.

Kev maybe, Thommo again but not Heleta. Should be released.

OK, but from a 2019 viewpoint the cupboard is dry for fast quality centres.

You should probably take a few moments to digest the irony of your last sentence.

Think everybody is hoping we get the players we need for 2019 Newtown. If not the exact players - ones that at least do more than a good job. If that is the case we should be able to release a few that we don't need anymore.

Mbye will fill one hole but as everyone says we need another second rower, two centres etc.

We need a few more to bolster ISP as well, especially a half now that Quadja has left (it is a big hole as he was playing very good).

Nofo getting wounded so early in the game played a big part in our down fall…Tui was a vey skilled player but he no longer is, he looks like he has thrown in the towel....Fonua thinks he is superman but was shown he is not, TWICE his second attempt was an easy peasy off the right foot against a giant of a man (ask Larry Corowa) who had no chance of changing direction at that speed....If Liddle remains injury free for a prolonged period of time we will crack the eight no doubt about that....And Benji, fellow supporters I'm sad to say is now as bad as he was when he left us....I would only consider him for a bench spot until Reynolds makes NRL condition....He should tvery skilled playerhen shake hands with the reserve grade players because that's all he is now.... Please Ivan do everything in your power to get that guy from Canterbury over here ASAP.... :sign:

“Tui was a very skilled player”,
In what life was that..??
With the exception of his first one or two gamesfor the Warriors, he’s been lucky to make reserve grade
A total waste of a signing

At the time I don't think we had much choice with signing Tui as Slimey Moses wanted out and we needed a replacement asap, he helped us avoid the spoon last year but fullback is not his position its 5/8.
