Dene Halatau believes Wests Tigers can make NRL finals

I honestly believe we arent as BAD as everyone on here reckons.

The spine is the best since 05 and we have some grunt up front.

Our kids are starting to get a good chunk of games under their belts and it looks like everyone is gonna be fit to start.

I cant see why we cant make top 8?

We're not that bad at all. What we need is a kind run on the injury front. We cannot expect to make the 8 if we have to use in excess of 30 players during the season as we have had to for the past couple of years. That's not bad luck either, it's bad management from the previous S&C team. Hopefully the changes the new S&C team have brought in pay dividends on the field this year.

We have a heap of kids that have the potential to be anything, I believe our success will revolve around how quickly they kick on and our injuries.
In reality this squad has more to be optimistic about than the 2005 squad did leading into that season, anything could happen if the kids kick on quickly and our key players stay fit.
Unfortunately we also have the potential to struggle if we lose a couple forwards or the youngsters take a while to get into the weekly grind of the NRL.

But working off the theory it takes between 50-100 games to get some stability in your game as a footballer , and many of these young players have had chequered careers due to the injuries they will be a season away at least

And they won't do it without some injection of new blood in certain positions

People can try and sugercoat the WT's all they want , but it will take an absolute miracle for us to be a serious finals contender

I believe in miracles (not holy BS kind) and my glass is half full. Without the horrible injury toll and then Robbiegate, we were a top eight side last season.

With our youngsters another year older, we will scrape into the finals this year. After that we will need a miracle to win the comp.

I used to be a half glass full guy , but I get sick of pulling out the broken pieces of glass from my WT's soul
