Depth everywhere except hooker

2011 looks to be the best year as far as depth goes. We seem to have options in most positions now, but I wonder about hooker. I wont jinx Farah by mentioning the 'I' word, but he will most likely miss a few games through Origin.
Who would you replace him with? Pat Politini is the only other hooker in the top squad as far as I know.
But could these guys be options?
Flanagan
Lui
Miller
Moltzen
Farlow

Who's else in the state cup could be used at hooker? Is Florimo gone?

Fulton is the best backup hooker we have under contract.

Farlow had not decided which offer to accept whether it be with us or Penrith or Cronulla last I heard.

With Corby likely to miss a large chunk of next season after surgery and Carr doing to Redcliffe our options are very limited

Flanagan may be an option.

Lui, Moltzen and Miller for mine do not have the ability to handle the defensive workload in the middle that Farah does

Soeli Makaui (sp?) is still floating around but has had a horror run of shoulder issues

Darren Nichols wont let anyone down. Obviously a 7/6, but he is more than capable to be creative and defend well in the ruck.

This kid has a big ticker on the pitch!

We have plenty of adequate players to step up in the #9 jersey. They may not be as good a Farah but they sure as hell can hold their own. Fulton, Flanagan and Waters would all be handy fill ins.

I thought Darren had left for France.

Dean Parata is training with the top-squad along with Politoni - so we are not too short - but the fact is if Robbie is out we will miss him regardless of the replacement!

Nichols…say la vi...Good Luck to him

He will carve frogs legs over there....

Corby is yr man...seems injury/surgery has given Politoni a shot....Ha...RED

He goes good too like Ummmm...Issac Luke...

We are covered with youth or the ever reliable Liam Fulton or maybe ........BEAU knows dummy-half running

Nicholls & Makaui make Corby look like a park footballer …... GEO!!

Makaui was also rated & picked ahead of Corby by Gentle in the 20s in 2009 until he did his shoulder!!! If Eli can make it back -there is yet another player in Corby's way!

Having said that - I do rate Corby as a decent prospect - and I hope he overcomes his surgery and goes on to bigger things!

Hopefully that hapens elsewhere - as he has limited attacking ability compared to our other candidates (just like your old mate DeGois)!!

(Note - even Stu Flanagan played better than Corby for the Maggies and he is a busted at first-grade level as three clubs can now attest to!)

Politoni & Parata are far better talents to nurture and both are current Balmain juniors .... GEO ... (if you want to play that card) ... hahahahahaha!

No they are all good… :brick:

What I find amusing is your ummmmm...undervaluing of Corbs...Park Footballer you say..Well IMO Chris Corby HITS harder and more often than FARAH and has a better short kicking game and kicks goal 2...Is it is because he is a Magpie....are you relying on memories of Corbs in the 20's and how many times did you watch him play against MEN last year to form this opinion of him??????????????

Heey BTW I'd have Isaac back in a sec..If Farah was unavailable Origin time they should pick De Gois

IMO Farah needs bench time during some games next season. Team victory is more important than any player's pride or ego. I think the Tigers will be more potent with a less fatigued Robbie. Moltzen & Benji can compensate in attack when Robbie is rested. Roster for 2011 is potentially the best in Wests Tigers short history. We must snatch a comp in the next couple of seasons before the current squad loses players through retirement & club switches. I believe our top 17 players are capable of winning the 2011 NRL premiership.

the farah benching experiment has already been tried…it failed.

nichols would of been the perfect replacement though i suppose fulton can still fill in at hooker if needed. he can kick and gained play making experience while in the SL. we also have the depth to cover him in the back row department.
