I'M proud Wests Tigers finished in the top four in the past two seasons and I look forward to another exciting year.
The players have trained very hard over the summer to earn a place on the big stage at ANZ Stadium in October and we all can't wait for round one.
One of the most encouraging signs for our supporters is the depth and strength we have. Our NYC team made the finals last year and it featured a number of very talented kids who have what it takes to make the next step to the NRL - just as Aaron Woods and Matt Groat did last season.
Both have since consolidated their positions in the NRL squad. They will be our future stars and it is testament to our youth development program.
Woods and Groat will join leaders Robbie Farah, Benji Marshall and Gareth Ellis, who all continue to play important roles for the team.
We have also secured one of the game's best forwards in Kiwi international Adam Blair. His ability and experience will serve us well.
To further bolster our squad, we signed experienced players Joel Reddy and Matthew Bell. Joel's versatility will be invaluable and Matthew will add depth to our forward pack.
Off the field, we are fortunate to have the backing of an impressive array of corporate partners and the most passionate members in the NRL.
I know the boys love playing in front of packed crowds at our home grounds and seeing a sea of black, white and orange in the stands.
For those fans who are not yet members, we encourage you to join and be a real part of our team. As our catch-cry says, "Belong, Become, Be One".
