Development of 2012 and 2013 champions

In 2012 and 2013 Balmain were SG Ball champions. We have quickly seen a few of the 2012 champions develop through our ranks

Moses
Brooks
Cherrington
Milone
Kazzi
Woods
Armstrong
Funaki
Farrell
Ravkin
Paul Simona - now at Sharks???

Whats happened with the 2013 graduates? There doesnt seem to have been nearly as many to come through

Satterthwaite - barely getting a game in NYC
Jayden Wheelhouse - getting his first run in NYC
Funaki and Woods backed up in 2013

The 2013 conversion rate seems very poor to date. Anyone have any thoughts as to why? Did the 2013 team over achieve? Whats happened to Jeremy Marshall-King?

Wests also had a pretty hot side in '11, they were the minor premiers and we saw Tedessco and Noffa emerge from that side.

A few reasons.

The '13 side did very well to win it, but were not a dominant side, they played brilliantly in the semis but finished the regular season about 6th. Without being disrespectful, they over performed a bit. '12 side was very dominant and full of stars, most notably Cherrington and Moses. (Brooks didnt play much).

Also as the side above the 13 side won the comp, and Keebra won the GIO, we have a lot more competition for spots than normal, restricting opportunities for the class of 13.

Next year we will see more chances for some of those guys, I expect the likes of Tatola, Satterwaite to be strong performers next year, and Im sure others will do well, Im starting to like Wheelhouse the hooker (I think Jack, I get them mixed up), IMO he is likely to be the Aus schools hooker from what ive seen (assuming he has a decent carnival) and think he will be a very good player at NYC next year,

Rhys armstrong was part of the 2013 squad. Kazzi may have been too, but i cant remember for sure.

From the 2013 group, the strongest (at the time) appeared to be Armstrong, Fosio Tatola and Wheelhouse. Jeremy Marshall King was solid too.

Give them another year for injuries to sort themselves out so you can get a proper look at the '13 players and see how they are progressing.

Fosio Tatola has retired due to family commitments, Marshall was set to play 20's a few weeks ago but broke his hand the weekend prior but should be back soon. Kazzi was a member of the 2012 team.
Farrell missed 2013 after doing his ACL, Leki Taumalolo 2012 had a year with saints but is back this year, Alex Zarounis is at Cronulla, Mark Daoud is with Parra, Rhys Armstrong is with Manly, Leva Li is with Parra. Max DiMarco retired due to a shoulder injury.
