Disrespect and la k of effort

Shouldn’t be paid for this game
This was a disrespectful display to loyal fans and to the memory of Tommy.
All players should be ashamed of them selves and apologise to the community.
I’ve been a West’s Magpie for 50 years and a tiger since the combining of the teams and the first half was the most embarrasing and disrespectful effort I have seen.
The team didn’t want to be there. We’ll go somewhere else. You don’t deserve our support

Very soft mate , we are all disappointed, it certainly is time to make some changes , Rabbits will lap us

Again ...I will never forgive this team for this performance .....God help you if you ever become a legend of this club

Why the hell would you put the onus of someone playing the game to bring the jersey out ...and as someone else said a Balmain junior

Preferred Baa Lamb brought the jersey out ....but seriously ..how hard would it have been to get Roy Masters or Warren Boland ......

Can you imagine even if they had to wheel Roy out ...and he does a fist pump or slaps Lee ......the place would have gone bonkers

I understand the logic in our current seven bringing the jersey out, I'm not faulting that. I think it should have been a 70's Magpies jersey with a 7 on the back though, and Brooks should have showed it to the crowd and placed it in on the chair. Lee was not required.

If Lamb had been involved in the ceremony he would have been abused.Warren Boland would have been a good choice

Brooks needs to be focussing on his game

More proof we underestimated the Cows and took them lightly

More proof this club is just totally off the page

This is all that needs to be said.
Great thoughtful post.

Tigers fans need to start a "dee-fence" chant every time the opposition has the ball.. because nothing else has beefed up our paper-thin defence.

They'd probably follow Robbie's heavily beaten path and slip under dee fence

saw paul kent on the hill on sunday had a word with him about brooks and said please roast him in the next 360. Hopefully he does.

Why would you do this? He was far from our problem on Sunday. Tigers junior, maybe you should show him some respect.

And, what would that achieve do you think? You're giving K*nt too much credit as a rugby league analyst when, really, he's just a hack journalist. I have more regard for the comments of people on here than anything K*nt could provide.

Kent's an anal-ist.

You suggested Terry Lamb. I find that to be equally nuts, but here we are.

It's been 24 hours and I'm still traumatised by what I witnessed yesterday.
I'm suffering from PTSD....Post Tigers Stress Disorder.

and when we have the ball should be chanting "off the fence"
to fire up our forwards who rarely bend the line to run off the back fence.

I agree with others that this team requires additonal help to support their mindspace or mental welfare. We have a lot of talented youth to consider.

The off-season may have contained high excitement about 2021 for supporters but amidst it we attracted some heavy criticism too, due to the releases of Benji and Aloiai - with the strength of our spine scrutinised and gaining public attention/interest.
I noticed some initial outrage(on the forum) when critics predicted the wooden spoon for us due to this and all focus has since shifted to their(our spine's) performance.
Last week saw the whole NRL media spotlight on the club, so it's only natural we're feeling disenchanted. But some are forgetting that the team and our inexperienced spine - and I mean by the amount of games they've played together - have had all publicity on them since Benji was let go, and are probably feeling enormous pressure. So it's any wonder they're buckling under it.

Our club has always had its own unique challenges but being one of the most discussed themes in media circles would be a new one(for a new group of players), and probably a lot to bear for four individual players who hold a lot of team responsibility.
We obviously don't care as much to how the experts rated them, so I don't think that's too much of an issue as it comes with the territory, but knowing their fans also lack any faith is probably more detrimental to their motivational levels right now.
So perhaps if our team or coaching still isn't up to scratch due to this, or there's an ingrained culture problem, there needs to be some form of intervention from management to ensure all barriers have the appropriate resources available to them.
