we are "this" close or yet miles away from other teams above us, and more specifically those in the top 8? I say this because even though the spoon is well and truly in our keeping (sadly) I don't know if we are just lacking those 1 or 2 class players that make the difference between losing close games and winning them or if there is an attitude from opposing teams when playing against us that all they have to do is go through the motions. Hence what we see as improvement is nothing more than opposition turning it up when it counts.

For example, how long have we had a halves-pairing problem?
Finally the dunderheads responsible have given Laurie a go at 5/8...something I've been saying long ago they should try.
A solution to our 5/8 problem we've had for yonks, right under their noses, and Laurie running around in lower grades
