Dogs take over ...

Managed to catch the last 20 or so minutes of the '05 Grand Final on Foxsports yesterday and gee the young fellas did play an exciting brand of footy, the Tiges mightn't have been the greatest Premiers ever but it was the Greatest Grand Final of all time.

Agree. Wests Tigers were a very exciting team to watch, so were the Cowboys. These two teams together in the 2005 Grand Final were Explosive….. DYNAMITE! Edge of your seat stuff.

God some people are precious, just cos others dislike teams you have no problem with. Thats the great thing about footy, there are teams you love to hate, and theres nothing wrong with that, its apart of the game.

No problem with that but it doesn't cost much to show an ounce of appreciation for what was a hard fought and deserved premirership. Spewing hatred towards a team who did so well is just sad.

I attended the game tonight and all i have to say is WOW. It was a much better atmosphere then our grand final in 05 (two big sydney clubs) however it still didn't even compare to the preliminary final against the dragqueens in 05\. I Dont think anything ever will.

Although, after what i experienced today and the shear vibe that surrounds grand final week i cannot wait until our club reaches such feets. It will be a truely remarkable period for all of us !!

Heres hoping our juniors can mature over the next year or two and we can see our boys playoff in the big dance soon enough !

I think the 05 final is highly regarded.
Most have been bored by the wrestle for a long time now.
Tonight was an impressive power game but all formula and not much magic.
Having said that, we could do with a bit of that formula.

I don't think it matters that Souths won the GF to anyone else but them, well done and Sam Burgess played a Herculean game with a severe injury early and deserved to win the CC medal,he will be missed by rugby league next year…

**Thats footy.**

Not really
Its this current generation.
Its the same with rep footy.
"Oooooh I dont like the coach/xxx players so even tho im born in NSW/QLD/Australia …Im cheering for the other mob.

Pussies

To be quite honest, the Dogs did well to keep in the game for as long as they did. Reynolds and Hodkinson were pretty ordinary. The Bulldogs this week looked like Penrith last week. Impotent at the line.

It has often been said, that the 2005 WT team, was the worst team to ever win a premiership. If the Dogs win today, they will undoubtedly take that mantle into the future…...........big if though

The 05 grand final, up until last year, was the most watched game of footy ever. The same thing would be said by Balmain supporters if the Magpies won a comp, but sadly you won't ever see it happening. Another thing often said, geez some people must be on drugs, how else would it come to mind to start a post with such thought.

So having teams you love to hate makes you a pussy? And its only the current generation who hate teams with a passion, previous generations never did?

Something that made me laugh was how much little fanfare was made around Ennis doing a Steve Price sitting on the sideline in his jersey. Commentators virtually said nothing the entire game.

That just proves the point on how one sided channel 9's broadcast was .

I wouldn't know what the channel nine broadcast sounded like because I listened to Roy and HG call it. By far more entertaining than the tripe I'm sure Rabs and co dredged up.

They really are a mob of wankers. Television ratings are down and the NRL bosses need look no further than the channel 9 mob. I hope that are enjoying their money as most of the everyday fans are not enjoying anything about their broadcasts.

They're a boys club. The only 2 that i can stand are Sterlo and Lockyer. I'm glad Lockyer at least maintains some ounce of class when he calls, unlike Johns and Fittler. Believe it or not Fittler as a player carried himself with class off the field, a lot like Lockyer did. Its good to see Lockyer maintain that class in retirement and not turn into a complete embarrassment like Fittler has.

Plenty of camera shots of Sattler and McCarthy sitting together, mostly when Bulldogs were in possession.
