@TheDaBoss went all out in 2019

@Geo still has no regrets 😂

Though we’ve played a lot better recently and will no doubt get some confidence from back to back wins, the reality is that we’ve only beaten 2 depleted teams - there is no way we should ever be the slightest bit cocky.

If we can actually roll a full strength Parra this week, that will definitely go a long way to lifting team spirits and confidence going forward.

It’s belief and keeping emotions in check that will go a long way to winning

This is a line the sand!!! Do it professionally

We all laugh, but this is it 100%.
Effort. One set at a time. Do your job.
Whatever happens, happens for now.
When it becomes habit and culture, then we can worry about everything else.

I agree. Once we have three wins in a row, then we can enjoy the buzz of winning. Historically we don't win three in a row. Only once or twice since 2012. When that happens, you can hook it right into my veins. I'll be riding it high.

How do we contain Sivo? He is almost unstoppable close to the line.

Line speed and win the ruck

Would it be a good idea to kick early in sets to limit Parra's possession near our tryline?

I think not so much at the moment - you see so many 6 agains right now, it can punish you. I think holding onto the ball is key rather than early kicking.

I was going to say 5 in a row but 3 will suffice.

That's an extremely good point I didn't consider the rule changes.

Yes good point
Every 6 to go will end with an attacking play on the tryline... We need to be disciplined and give them no extra tackles...

Smash him before he gets close. He's the epitome of a shrinking violet when things get tough.

I'd rather win games than lose games, to weaker opposition.

This isn't aimed at anyone but some complain we don't or can't play with big game mentality, so using these games for team building or enhancing our team cohesion adds to this. It shows we're not playing down to the opposition and more importantly learning how to work together as a team, in order to win.
Regardless of who our opponents are and their quality/strength, it reveals a lot about the team's progression. It tells us what the team's attitude is and what their motivational levels are. Even whether everyone is pulling their own weight or not. It also shows if we've improved in any areas that have been challenging for us.
It's not only a reference point to determine growth but another opportunity to teach them how to win at all costs.

A frequent complaint I've often heard is our poor decision making and inability to take calculated risks that benefit the team. These are the perfect games to work on this, as they'll learn which are the better/best courses of actions and only continue to build on team trust.

It's not an impossible task especially with a few of the Parra players having a full tough match on Wednesday,

how many times have we lost to lesser opposition over the past few years? Too many to mention.
We complain when we lose, find faults when we win....love my Tigers!!!

Wests Tigers by 16 against the Eels this weekend.

Spoke to some Eels supporters today, they are not confident. Like us they don’t know which team will turn up.

If we make anywhere near as many mistakes and hand over nearly as much ball as we did against the Panthers, the Eels will murder us.
Just on stopping Sivo - you have to tackle him early before he gets up a head of steam, so give him no space at all. Hanging back in our 20 will end in tears - need line speed!

I hope douhie has been told to bomb every now and then, it almost got us over against them earlier in the year! Fergo might still
Be out and the hooker will be other. That won’t help the spine! So smash Moses, Dylan and gutho and send bombs to all 3 backs! I would target waqaa Blake, he’s strong in attack but defence wise he is woeful! Come on boys let’s get this W

It is the simplest approach.

Focus on the week ahead, play for the comp points on offer. If you get the result, everything else falls into place.
