How good is this kid? His kicks got us back in the game and got the crowd so involved. Even the eels supporters were cheering his kicks. Those floating bombs had the eels backs looking like headless chooks. Bigger and better things to come from this kid.

Coming along nicely, people will criticise his 1on1 defence but with no linespeed right on your goal line i dont think many are saving that.

I agree, now doubt Pat Richards is making an impact on Doughe.
Drop Brooks (pea brain) and Doughe will shine even further.

They are great when they come off ...but when we are kicking them from our own half we end up conceding valuable field position

And that’s where Brooks should be making sure he gets the ball and putting it in the corners.

Big things ahead

Plus his goal kicking is coming along nicely. He is really looking like the goal kicking half we always needed.

if he sorts out his defence and ensures he makes the right call when he strips numbers on the edges he will go a long way towards being a premier 5/8. I just wanted him to play solid footy this year, providing he fixes his defence up he's right where he needs to be.

We aren’t giving ourselves a chance with our terrible line speed and even worse goal line defence.

I agree. attack isn't our issue, it's our inability to withstand pressure on our goal line. as Doueihi said, teams will continue to isolate him if he doesn't get it together. we need to sort it out quickly or we won't be in the right half of the table come September.
