Drama At Wests Tigers

Has anyone watched the movie 'The Natural' about the baseball player (Robert Redford).

Similarities to our story. Team in last place, disgruntled fans & coaching staff and, in the film, the owners were dodgy and wanted to team to come last to secure the remaining share in the club from the coach.

Then one special player came in and changed the fortunes of the team, lifted the players around him & brought the crowds.

Whilst the dodgy ownership plot not the same, I am wondering who our 'special' player can be (like Benji in 2005)!

Should put Justin and Lee up there since they know all about recruitment now. Give us all a few pointers.

Wonder if board should consider giving some else a say apart from Lee and Justin.

People are obviously sick of them but the board still hide behind them.

anyone else pick up on the comments from Sheens in last nights presser on the possibility of Talau going to Manly mid season?....he almost rubber stamped he is not talking to Fulton....
And of course the Media picked up on his comments and will run the WT to the ground over the next week. Buzz, Bwaith and Hooper will hammer them over this next week.

We just continue to feed the media to put crap on us....

If those guys on 360 really want to do some damage, they could always promote the petition on the show.

They probably get half their stuff from this forum so I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

I'm sure that would help to boost the numbers.

That’s an unfair comment. Sheens, Api, Brooks, Bateman, Robbie, Benji. There are guys there with passion and who know what success looks like. It’s the front office who wouldn’t know success if it kicked them in the arse.
Agree, with what you are saying, particularly about the front office. To clarify my point, we never at any point in time have a critical mass of people within the organisation prioritising winning. At best we have a few at any time, and the few are overwhelmed by the majority who get by on participation.

We only had the one training session with that run on side?
We put them under some reasonable pressure considering that.

That sounds like us.
No dodgy ownership not the same, that requires a degree of skill and besides the 10% (what did Einstein say about 10%?) could become aware of the plot?

However the mum to his kids hates him. Wonder why?
He can be very polarising, I swing from loathing him to grudging respect for him. He has a fair ticker , but also can be a smug , smart arse .. so can we all, I suppose . He is George Piggins nephew so the houso from Maroubra part I doubt.. Good golfer , long first grade career , and lives a decent life .. if he wanted the Tigers CEO job I’d be willing to give him a shot. Sadly he seems to like kicking the tIgers while they are down .. 🤔. But we always down

It's interesting the way some people think. If I have more money than you and a better looking woman does that make me more successful ? Are there other ways of looking at the world
Earl, this is very concerning.. I’ve always kind of found you cringe 😬, due to your fulsome support of Luke Brooks,, but from this thread I’m worried I jumped the gun as you appear to be a person with an interesting perspective and refined intelligence.. I tip my hat to you Earl, 😎👏

And

How do you define Success?

My point is money does not always define success.
Traditional Influence (not social Media Followers), The positive impact you make on those around you, In general succeeding at the things you attempt.

There is an element of financial security that is part of success, but I know a ton of people with heaps who are miserable.
