Did u really just call one of, if not the best player to ever play for the Tigers a loser???????/ I agree a lot of Benny's comments these days are cringe worthy, but loser he isnt and ur comment is downright wrong. he's been successfull in every aspect of his life. He has foot in mouth disease, but id say so do u to, and so do i.

For a public figure such as he is/was, he is not succesful in garnering peoples _respect_ ….guys like Hodgo & Buckets O'Neill are and regardless of wealth status etc are held higher in my eyes.
Its not what you have... or what you have done...its who you are that is important imo.

I love, absolutely love how people take "part" of a post and just qoute that bit. Shouldnt be allowed i reckon. Allows false arguments. But, i must say on this occasion, i get what ur saying….....but seriously, for u to now turn around and bang on about respect as a human to justify calling him a loser is stretching it. Yeh maybe we should. Just that u called him a loser than tried to base that on him not gaining respect for his comments. Now if he doesnt give a stuff about what people think than this hardly makes him a loser. He's successfull in every other way.

Its a hard one because i agree he's an idiot, but i disagree that he;s a loser, and i cant see how that comment was made. Maybe i have too high of a opnion of him as a player to judge, im not sure.

Seems like a lot of people who don't like Benny Elias are using this incident as a chance to unload on him. My only additional comment will be that I've seen Benny Elias on a number of occasions at Balmain Football Club and Wests Tigers events. He's always been very approachable and happy to have a chat with everyone from a nobody football club member up to the CEO. I've not always agreed with his positions/opinions but I've never doubted the enthusiasm the bloke has for the club or the time he's put in behind the scenes. He makes some dumb comments at times and this is one of them but as I suggested in an earlier post, the context is important.
