Dummy half issues

We were really bad out of dummy half tonight so it's fair to say with Farah there we'd have won.

Luani seems to not have the engine or the focus for the job. He arrives late way too often and a couple of times he did this in the last which put our kicker under pressure forcing a bad option.

When Austin came on at times it seemed like neither knew who's responsibility directing dummy half was as they and others repeatedly had to rush in there.

As a result I have to put the onus of this loss on Potter. He didn't adequately prepare a strategy to replace Farah and I have seen this in all games Farah hasn't played. Tonight was the worst though. I am a big Potter supporter but this disappoints me.

i put it on our forwards. luani was alright… the forwards weren;t catching it on the advantage line, they were 5m behind the play the ball.

Luani tries hard but does not get us onto the front foot, whereas I thought austin was much sharper when he got in there.

So frustrating watching Luani. He is slow, lazy and easy for the opposition to read. He should be dropped immediately. Put Blake Austin in dummy half and Curtis Sironen on the bench as cover

When we are missing the best dummy half in the game - it will always be a problem was very evident tonite

Luani is a very astute defender, but offers very little in attack. I feel our attack would have fared better if Austin started. The rot was particularly evident when Brooks was led off the field though and Luani was flung back on.

The amount of times we played the ball tonight and there was no dummy half there was ridiculous. This is Under 6 stuff. Pathetic.

Has Cherrington played NSW Cup yet? Would much rather see him compete with men before being thrown in the deep end.

we have a $900,000 SOO hooker. even a fulltime FG hooker would struggle to slot into a new team and fill farah's shoes let alone a fringe 1st grader.

But why put a hooker in to replace Farah who doesn't play like him!? At least Austin has some flair and can do more than just pass from dummy half. He has a kicking and running game which is what Farah has too - yes, at a higher level… But something is better than Luani's nothing

because austin can't play 80 minutes at high quality as a 9 like farah can.

Luani's passing is poor. He offers nothing in attack and just doesn't seem to be on the same page as the rest of the team. That could be s last game for us IMO.

In the future a combination of some sort between Austin/Halatau/Fulton should be used.

x2 I don't think I have ever seen a hooker struggling to reach the PTB so regularly.

Brooksie must have gone to DH about 15 times in this match.

30+ tackles (2nd highest for the team) and 60+ running metres which on par with Sue, Seumanufagai and Blair in about 50 minutes game time is hardly lazy

Austin ended up playing more time at hooker than Luani. I'm not saying that Austin played badly but i think you're frustrations are misplaced
