I think he surprised just about everyone. His overwhelming desire to coach and work with his son just made him act so unethically - I certainly didn’t ever foresee that type of behaviour coming from him.

@GNR4LIFE been hanging to have a coach that will jump out of the box when we score match winners, and then fire rockets if the boys need a good spray. I'm happy to be patient for another 2-3 seasons - unlike some of the old boys on here haha. I can see why some posters are sceptical though. Just ride the wave...

Well, it's not as if we can do anything about it. So long as the team gets better. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting. I can wait a bit more.

I know Packer wanted to play under Cleary. I know he was disappointed for not being thought about with a transfer.

I think it's a good move. We have too much 'Average' in our squad. DWZ is a top 4 player. Although this leaves us vulnerable up front.

We're no more vulnerable up front than we already are. Packer was not in Madge's plans anymore.

Good to be somewhat balanced mate. Anyone who thinks he's playing well at the moment is deluded but as I said the other day his reported salary is very similar to Packer's reported salary. So if they are in reality relatively close, I'd rather the bloke down on form with plenty of his best in front of him than a bloke who has hit his ceiling and still performing below expectations.
