HAHA... I remembered the backlash after we put it out at the time, I don't remember the club relenting.
I remember it was Hot as Hell - And packed... There were sharks fans there as well.
That was the year we were tipped to take it out.

Maybe someone should remind the NRL what they said when we tried to do it.
Was almost 20k there that day...

Yep... I read it.
It also mentions something about "I don't think anyone should be locked out"
which lends itself to the fact we were locking out opposition fans.

I remember it clear as day at the time the club had a big advertising push that
entry was for "Members Only" - I believe they also had one game memberships to coincide with it (My Sharks mate bought one to go) Sharks fans blew up deluxe!!

I can assume from the article that we must have changed tune closer to game day - Maybe because we couldn't sell it out?

It certainly happened though.
