Eddie Paea

They prob signed him to play reserve grade/Ron Massey Cup, as our NRL injuries are filtering down.

I really liked him in club rugby, was real keen to learn and did ok.

As for Simona, he is a year early for NYC, makes sense he wont play every week, playing against some men will prob help a bit.

Well Eddie played halfback for the Magpies in RM Cup today. Paul Simona has also signed with them after being dropped by the WT NYC

Why was Simona dropped? He was an Australian schoolboy last year and, I understood, highly rated.

I think because we probably have better right now options in the centres in NYC, he and any of those centres are not NSW Cup standard as yet so to keep him in systen RM Cup it is

Okay. I understood you be saying he was cut from the club altogether and the Magpies had picked him up.

??? Who's doing the recruiting??????? When are we going to recruit some quality players??????

Make no mistake,we do recruit quality players….just a shame they were quality roughly 10 years before they come to WT :frowning:

He has a highlights package. Looks as though he's been playing a fair bit of fullback in Rugby.
I've got to be honest, I'd never heard of Paea til now.

Played RMC for Wests, and was way a cut above that level. Would easily slot back into NSW Cup if needed, but a long way off NRL standard…

solid purchase, he's 25 and could help us in the halves now that miller has left. He wont be expensive either, 100k or less i'd guess.

He has to be better than Iosefa at least. Masada for every moment he shows poise and purpose, will do something stupid or lazy the next minute. Not surprised this has happened as I didn't think Potter would be a fan of Masada's.

I dont believe he was ever purchased with a thought at giving him a crack at first grade. He will be there to fill the void left by Millers release, which will free up Brooks to get a shot at First Grade.

Do State Cup players that don't have an NRL contract get paid $100K a year? I wouldn't have thought so.
