This is my 1st post for many weeks and I have resisted putting this on here, but I think it needs to be out there. I cant say its 100% true but it came from another 1st grade player who knows E taylor. word has it Jason did not want to resign taylor no reason given, word with in the club that Jason was told he had to be re-signed but as we all can see there has been no signing even with Robbie going.

So JT don't like Farah, don't like Sirro, don't like ET, JAC, Griffin, MCK, yet he loves Rankin and Lovett. :crazy

And the soap opera continues. Elijah Taylor comes on board and he kills it in his first few weeks as a link to our halves. His role gets changed and he is moved in the middle, making him tackle all gsme and no longer an 80 minute player. Now our head coach doesnt want him if what your saying is true.

Our top 5 become free agents for 2018 in 2 weeks, and Pascoe having a nice holiday in america. No wonder we havent announced any signings or re-signings lately.

This place is like no other. An unsubstantiated rumour suddenly becomes fact and the coach is a tool.

I now know who the idiots would be that fall for the Nigerian Prince scam…..

Those comments don't really scream ''out of the running''. They sound keen.

There are no quotes from the GC at all - Scott Sattler is keen. He's an ex-employee offering an opinion to fill column space.
It'd be similar to a story being run linking us to Idris (or whoever), and someone like Pat Richards saying 'yeah, he'd be a good fit'.

Maybe JT doesn't like someone with the same surname being here

What about Charlie Taylor?

I have heard from a very good source that E Taylor and others including C. Taylor ( who has only signed for last season and is off contract ) have not heard back on recruitment. It seems everyone has gone on holidays. You would think the business side of things would have been done first, especially when rugby is chasing both. November will be a very interesting month with signings or players leaving

Seems like everyone except the membership dept. has gone on holidays. Have to sign up before Oct 31 to keep our seats.
Would been nice to hear of a positive signing or 2 first.

Maybe the one person who was supposed to be handling contracts and recruitment re-signed and the club has no one doing it now? Would find it exceptionally hard to believe the club could be that unprofessional though given the numbers of players off contract and the need to strengthen our squad.

No other club in the league would have all staff on holidays. This is a crucial time in contract negotiations, many other clubs have re-signed stars or signed new talent in the past couple of weeks. Pascoe would need to be handling things, via phone and email at least. It's really not that hard. You don't have to be in the same room to conduct negotiations.

Too many "maybes" going on here & all negative. Maybe, just maybe re-signings & new signings have already been finalised & the club will be announcing shortly.

Doesn't pre-season start in November? I'm sure we'll hear something soon.

Nothing would surprise me with our club. Both foundation clubs where poorly managed nothing seems to have changed as far as i can tell

There's probably a contract waiting to be signed in Elijah's junk folder. Starting to get ridiculous now. I think we were all expecting something a week or two after the grand final. Its frustrating that other clubs are already getting their rosters sorted for 2018, and here we are not even knowing who will be here and who won't in 2017\. Idris and Mcillwrick are probably signed, but official confirmation would be nice. As would word on ET.

I personally am not all that fussed if WT has indeed closed management ops for a couple of weeks.

If E Taylor is hell-bent on going to rugby, or is even on the borderline, a little TLC at season's end surely isn't going to make a difference. Tigers have surely been talking to him for months.

Who knows, maybe it's a deliberate strategy by the Tigers to cool things down a bit and call any bluffs the player might have been tossing up?

If you have your head on straight, you chase down best offers from all parties before you commit to any contract. It's like selling a house, you shouldn't take an offer until you have final feedback from all interested parties. So if E Taylor thinks Tigers have something worthwhile to offer, he'd be a fool to jump ship just because he didn't hear from them for a fortnight.

But personally I'd be staggered if the CEO and other top-dogs aren't using their email and phone access even whilst they are on holidays. Business don't shut down in the modern and connected world. So it must be by choice that things are a little quiet right now.

Sometimes people seem to think that the entire organisation has no idea what they are doing, though I suspect that many commentators have little idea or experience with how to run a sports business.

Exactly right mate. Contrary to popular bandwagon forum thinking, the cogs would still be turning regardless of whether the front door is locked or not. I received a call regarding membership yesterday so i'm sure other departments would be running also.

havent read thw whole thread but i think if ET was going elsewhere he would have done it by now. he wouldnt be lacking options after a great season with us. i think he wants to stay and we want him here, probably just sorting out the terms

I think this is one of the better posts I've read in ages. The sky isn't falling in. I always thought that it wasn't but it's good to hear a positive perspective.

ET will sign or he won't. I don't see it as such a big deal.

i dont care whether he stays or goes.
he like everyone else, is probably confused as to where the coach wants him to play.
i do care about broses, woods and teddy staying.
