Elijah Taylor Final Game

Do we actually know he is leaving ....

Was confirmed by the club on that little paper thing. He himself said he wasn’t being offered. Contract either

I would have kept him for on a 12 month contract. With this faster version of the game, I quite like the idea of having a defensively sound, smaller ball playing lock. I also think his off field contributions with a young pack would be valuable

Has copped a lot of flak over the years, but has always been one of my favourite players. A little disappointed he couldn’t get another year as we could do worse. Great clubman.

One of our best in the effort department this season and always a professional attitude. Wish him all the very best, he deserves our respect and admiration.
I was surprised that the club didn’t also farewell our other departing players.

An absolute legend of the game!

Way too good not to get another gig. Has a lot to offer, smart player and seemed to be responsive to coaching.

If not here, he would be man of steel quality in England

Genuinely sorry to see him go.

Always played above his weight. A heart of gold and a true leader. He tightened up our defence and when he first came on board, it felt like our attack revolutionised with his link-plays. Wish him the best in his next endeavours. Will always respect this man.

He always tried hard but is not a big player and has certainly taken a battering on the field for us while doing his job.He has had many HIA's from memory and the game these days in the forwards is not designed for players like him.He should think carefully before committing to any NRL offers but i feel an ESL contract would suit him far more where the game is more open and his style would be a greater advantage to his team.
Thanks for all of his efforts while he has been with us

ET would be a beast in ESL. As an earlier poster mentioned he has man of steel qualities. If he were to go to an English club, he would become an instant fan favourite.

Obviously tonight is all about the two club legends but Elijah Taylor deserves a lot of thanks for everything he’s done at the club

When he first joined us a few years ago he improved us massively. His defence and ball playing at lock often helped us win games and he was a key leader in our squad.

As he got older and slowed down a little being a smaller forward lead to his performances slowing down but no matter what he battled through everything and gave 100% effort every time he was on the field

Never shied away from doing the tough stuff never complained about being dropped, always did his best to improve himself as a player even in his older years and a great leader at the club and a great example of how to be a professional and hard working player.

On behalf of all Wests Tigers fans, thank you Elijah for everything you’ve done for the club. Personally I’m very sad to see you go ❤️

Well said Josh. He deserves acknowledgement for his effort and professionalism.

I was a little disappointed one of our former captains and a whole-hearted veteran couldn't get a mention last night.

Interesting to me how blokes like Mikaele and Twal are locked in for next year, however guys like ET and Huth are on the outer.

Huth and ET turned the match last night when they came on the field, and I can only respect blokes who dig in all efforts all game. Huthy for example, second week in a row 1-1 strip to give us a chance to turn the match.

I respect ET for being a machine and not slowing down even when his head has been split. If he was 10 kg heavier he'd be a walk-up starter every match.

Best of luck bro
