ELLIS IN DOUBT AS UTAI OUT WITH KNEE INJURY

Wests Tigers have lost winger Matt Utai with a left knee injury while forward Gareth Ellis is in doubt for round 3.

Utai suffered a medial ligament injury in his left knee late in the second half in the loss to Manly at Bluetongue Stadium and is expected to be out for between 4-6 weeks.

A major cork to Ellis’ left thigh will see him undergo daily treatment in the lead up to the clash against St George-Illawarra Dragons at WIN Jubilee Oval next Friday night.

Ellis and Utai now join winger Lote Tuqiri, prop Keith Galloway and full-back James Tedesco on the casualty list.

Sheens on ABC radio seemed pretty confident Ellis would be right for next week. Make of that what you want…

Time for Koroibete to get his turn.
We might never look back.

I agree 100%. This guy will make a few mistakes who doesn't but his attack and pace will more than make up for the errors.

For mine he looks a fantastic prospect.

Losing Utai is another blow but I agree that Koroibete could be given a chance, the blokes got all the attributes needed to make a huge impact for us.

He runs as hard as Utai, he's three times quicker, lightening quick off the mark, seems to enjoy colliding with people and knows how to score a try from anywhere on the field. Give him a go!

Koroibete or poss John Grant. Think Tim will be thinking about of these. I'm sure he will be watching NSW Cup a little closer this weekend.

Lote is expected back but really think a week in reggies is needed for fitness.

It would see Reddy move to the wing with Meaney on the bench IMO. Tim has shown he likes a true utility back on the bench and Meaney provides that and has played hooker in trials for us before.

Thats my take on what will happen

Meaney ughh don't remind me of him from that titans game last year, but your right Sheens will go with him rather then a kid
