Looking at the side over the past few years it looks as though we've been missing something, an X-Factor if you will. We'd play well for the most part of a game but when it comes to the crunch we'd get beaten in the last few minutes or squander a decent lead. For example the semi finals firstly against the Roosters in 2010 and Warriors in 2011\. I think our lack of success can be put down to two things. One lacking a halfback who controls the team and secondly we lack starch and leadership in the forward pack. If Miller can step up and get the little things right like leading the forwards around, taking on the line occasionally and bring a decent kicking game to take pressure off Farah and Marshall then thats one problem solved, if his talent makes up for his lack of experience. Cherry-Evans shows that you don't need an abundance of experience to win a competition. The second issue lies within the forward pack and its one that i believe will be solved by Adam Blair. Gareth Ellis has debatably been the best signing the club has ever made but he can't do it all by himself. Put Blair in alongside him to stiffen up the defensive line right across the park and i think that will solve our defensive issues. I believe Blair will be the X-Factor the side has been missing for a few years now, and will lift and lead the pack and hopefully put an end to late game fadeouts. If we can make good combinations early by establishing who will play 1 and 7, giving them time to own the position and providing the football gods are kind to us with injuries, we should be in with a huge chance to challenge and even win the competition this year.
