Totally agree. I went looking for him because of the contract news, otherwise I might hardly have even noticed that he played.

Agree, I've only seen him 4 or 5 times this year, but he hasn't impressed me. Poor work ethic. We really needed him to step up tonight, but he was conspicuous by his absence.

I watched him tonight and if he was'nt injured then I'm a dutchman.

That performance was to bad to be true. I think that we had a lot of injuries that were not revealed and the short turnaround did not help.

Having said that, how hard is it to play the ball and then hang on to it??

Trust me. He is good. Silky skills, good defence, strong runner and a great offloader. He will go far.

All of his weaknesses which i've mentioned before came to the fore on Friday night. Though that was probably his worst ever game in NYC so it's a bit harsh to judge him solely on that. He just did absolutely nothing except mistakes and poor defence but perhaps there was a niggle of some sort for him. I hope not because he badly needs a full pre-season.

He has potential but i'm still seeing too much Liolevave and not enough Lovett for my liking. Needs to consistently add starch to his performances and not rely on highlight reel plays to be noticed.

this bloke reminds me of damien kennedy,who played for wests in the 90's.
ive only seen him play once and that was on the televised final.

i hope it works for him and the club.

He's not a centre. He's not quick enough, unless he works on his sprints in the off season and improves a lot. Lovett has more experience playing in the centres than he does.

He's a highlight reel kind of player. Makes breaks, scores tries. Still has a lot of work to do when it comes to simply hitting the ball up hard and making his tackles.

But he certainly has the x-factor in attack. Nice footwork, a strong fend and runs good lines. But then so did Liolevave. He did score 14 tries off the bench last year in NYC i think and another 10 this year.

Will be good to see how he develops. Not a huge forward by any means. Quite nuggety.

He lacks the pace to cut it in the centres. He's an edge backrower, nothing more, nothing less.

If a number of our boys had the same work ethic as Lovett we'd be unstoppable. He's nowhere near the size or skill of Marsters and while he lacks the impact some like Marsters can make his attitude and fitness is everything you'd want all your players to show.

Now if only we could combine talent with work rate across our 17 we'll be set for the next 10 years.

Exactly. Lovett doesn't have the impact but works hard and does a job for his team anyway. A number of young players can try and coast on fancy plays, but in the end if your team can't ruck it out from your own end you won't get a chance to show off your steps and line running ability on the opposition's try line…

Paseka has a higher work rate than Marsters for example, despite being much bigger. But then he's a prop and is mainly there to hit up and tackle. If Marsters can work hard this off season and get the determination and fitness to do more hit ups in his own half then he could develop into an excellent player.
