Esan Marsters

Our recent history has shown if we don't start giving these young guys a bit of game time in the NRL we will lose them to other clubs, it's OK to buy some established stars to strengthen the roster, but lets' not forget we have some talent already in the club we should be looking after.

Had a blinder for Cook Islands playing centre, ran for over 150m right through the middle of the ruck on occasions.
Scored a try, commentators were impressed as was I.

In that case, he'l be signed by The Storm by the end of next week

He has been solid in recent games and think that he deserves a go.
You never know ….. he may surprise a few people.
Reminds me a bit of young Les Boyd without the aggro.

I think Aloiai is much better in the middle of the park but we are also starting to have a lot of backrowers.

Marsters, ET, Lawrence, MCK, McQueen & even Idris.

Yeah, he looked very strong, but let's not forget, the Kumuls are essentially a reserve grade team so I'm not getting too excited.

He definitely didn't look out of place with the big boys though considering his age.

Good point. This is an ideal time to start blooding some young players, before the new recruits arrive next year and while there are injuries. Marsters looks ready. We could do with some energy and hard running in the forwards. And, while we're at it, although fast for a forward and playing in the centres in ISP, he really needs to play second row in the NRL. That is his future.

I can see that, just on that I saw silvertails verse fibros on friday at the local club, talked to Tommy for 20 minutes after the show, what a real character with a will to win. Also had Max Krillich come and sit at our table for about 20 minutes also, another nice bloke.

This. Not meant to be mean, but he was playing with and against players who are mostly amateurs (Glenn being the exception). He should stand out. Hope he makes it but some ISP teams would be stronger than PNG or the Cooks.

I was about to post the same thing. He was basically playing reserve grade opposition. Still not sure about him at centre but he's earnt a chance I think.

There can't be to much risk involved with putting him on the bench against Souths.

Great news about Suli and Marsters and their continued improvement. And kudos to the club for getting their signatures with competition from several other clubs.
