Our clubs Merged, We did not become "new" entities but two entities joining together. We are both foundation clubs with proud histories.

Our club is a joint venture, not a merger. Both foundation clubs are still alive.

We are a knew club it doesnt mean we forget our heritage... I believe both our old emblems are on the jersey somewhere and guys like Tommy and Sirro etc will never be forgotten

Agree. We don't need to choose one or the other. The JV was established in 2000 and is one of 12 clubs to have won an NRL Premiership in the 2000's. Only 5 other clubs have won more than 1 during that period, Penrith (4), Roosters (4), Melbourne (3 and 2 stripped for cheating), Manly (2), Broncos (2). If success is measured purely in premierships then we are equal sixth this century / since the JV was established, alongside Sharks, Cowboys, Bunnies, Dragons, Bulldogs and Newcastle.
Parra, Canberra, Warriors, Titans and of course Dolphins have come up with Duck Eggs.
Now, of course if we include the storied history of Wests Magpies and Balmain Tigers, both foundation clubs, then we are right up there with the best of them in terms of premierships.
Celebrate the present and future - JV all the way - but acknowledge and celebrate the contribution of two great foundation clubs, without whom the club would have no soul, history or connection to places where rugby league first took root

Yes the Magpies were a dirt poor team that got their arses handed to them. Dirt poor and damn proud.

Seriously, no one here barracks for a new team created in 2000 called the "Wests Tigers" we identify with the past of Balmain and Magpies. We are arguing for historic locations like Leichaert or Campbelltown to be the focus.

Does Tommy R mean NOTHING to this club?
Does Blocker Roach , Sironen and the champions of the past mean NOTHING.

When Easts talk about a 100+ year culture and how that propels an organisation.. we talk this BS of being founded in 2000. This is the exact issue that a Board should fix and loudly fix.

We were not founded in 2000. If we were then, heck I am walking.

There's a stack of supporters that were born in 2000 that are now 24 years old.

Wests Tigers is all they've ever known. I dare say anyone under 30 would hardly remember Balmain and Wests.
