I have not been this shocked and excited since September 05.
I know it's only round 3 but we are building to something.
Our attack has never looked better ( stuff Marshall, he did some freaky stuff but it had a strike rate of about 25%)
Brooks and teddy have smoothed it out already.
Our pack has NEVER looked better.
I'm going from tipping us for the spoon to tipping us for September football.

First thing, take a breath man.

Second stuff Marshal? If Benji was still with us, with a forward pack who rolls forward, a halfback who controls play, a fullback who knows when and how to use his skill set and athletic, acrobatic outside backs he would be killing it. The last 2 years with us, he had sides who didnt tick any of these boxes. The year before that (when he did have a side that ticked most of, if not all of these boxes), we nearly made the big one and he had a very good year personally.

We look like having a strong year, but there are still 23 rounds to play and we have young blokes in key positions who will fade a bit as the grind of the season takes place. Top 8 contenders and wooden spooners alike do not reveal themselves this early in the season.

Just take it a game at a time and reassess in a couple of months.

With the way the pack is going forward and dominating Marshall would have looked just as good as the other backs are looking this year.
Not sure if the old Benji Marshall magic would have made a return but with winning and confidence he would have been an improved player this year.
