reckon they'd be good for a smokey upset over the english…

Menzies is 37 for crikey's sake, I'd have O'Meley before Cashmere, Sammutt is a crowd pleaser but what's Happened to Michael Witt from the Crusaders?.
This is the old 'Other Nationalities' that the Poms used to play in years gone by and it was these games that kept the Poms very strong.
I reckon a Tri-Series against 'both' Australian Exiles and NZ Exiles would be A GOOD concept.

Of course it is not a genuine international match - it is all about localised imports versus the best of the native SL players!!!!!

That is also not a squad - it is just about EVERY previous-NRL player in the SL (minus former Tigers Withers, Hanbury, O'Hara, Lolesi & Jeffries)!!!!

May be they dont view it as important as the poms do,its all good preparation for the real stuff, since they dont have state of origin type games

I understand baz - but could anyone really justify calling the likes of Ellis, Burgess & Widdop away from the premier competition in the world (on a 40 odd hour flight mid-season) to play in a poxy game that is akin to the Koori/Murri/TSI v All-Stars game in importance???

i totally agree with you,i wouldnt release any one of my players if i was C.E.😵f any of the clubs to play in an insignificant game, especially from Australia.just that Happy Tiger asked the question and that link answered it for him at 3mins and 5 secs in
