If any of the Dogs, Broncos, Cows or Dragons finish in the 8 and we don't then that'll do me. I personally feel that's the bottom 4 right there, not in any order. Manly won't go close regardless of how many games Tommy misses, Sharks will struggle too given SJ out for a while and Moylan not being relevant for a number of years now. Warriors you never really know what to expect but again feel they'll struggle. Titans, Knights and Tigers the 3 I really feel will push for spots 7 and 8 however massive question marks still for Taylor.

Bottom 8:

9. Titans
10. Warriors
11. Sharks
12. Manly
13. Cows
14. Dogs
15. Broncos
16. Dragons

Cows have a fairly thin squad...but they do have 3-4 legit world class players. If they all stay fit, they will be right up there IMO.

Do they though ? By my count it’s 1 in Jason T . The rest haven’t done anything for a long time . Maybe Feldt ? He’s an underrated winger , who I’d call close to world class , on a good day .
Morgan , hasn’t done anything since the day he signed that huge extension . Holmes is a winger being paid a million dollars . That’s gonna age well . And their pack is not good either .

JT

Morgan (when fit, he is world class)

Holmes (when fit, he was the best winger in the game)

I also rate Drnkwater highly (not world class though, obviously)

I think Toddy will really suit the skillsets they have.

Fair enough . Each to their own I guess . Morgan hasn’t played well in 3 years . The rest are hardly world class . I don’t see it .

Brad Walter (NRL.com senior reporter)

1. Rabbitohs
2. Warriors
3. Panthers
4. Storm
5. Roosters
6. Raiders
7. Titans
8. Eels

Souths have a strong roster and have been knocking on the premiership door for three years, **the Warriors have been the best off-season recruiters** and won't have the same disruptions as last season. It is unlikely the Panthers can be as dominant as 2020 and the Titans are on the rise.

How fried is Brad Walter? He has the Warriors running second :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:

He probably has a pineapple on it , as I think they’re paying 28 dollars or something . They’re paying 8 dollars for top 4 .

I write the Cows off assuming Morgan can't find his best form

If he found that 2018 form ......it's a different kettle of fish

Teams I don't think will make the 8
Cronulla
Manly
Canterbury
New Zealand
St. George
Brisbane
North Queensland

Teams in the mix for 8
Tigers
Titans
Knights

Should make the 8
Melbourne
Souths
Roosters
Eels
Panthers
Raiders

The key for us this year is not dropping games against teams we should beat.

So they are geniuses if they put us in the 8 ..dunces if they don't

So if you have put the Tigers in the 8 for the last 9 seasons ..what does that make you 8 ....

Denan Kemp and Brett Finch talking about Wests Tigers in their season preview (23:50 to 31:20): https://youtu.be/M8JnNOO8M-Y?t=1430

Kemp was quite positive about us. Thinks Roberts and Leilua are not only the key to the season, but also to future recruitment (if they play well, players will want to come here).

Finch was unhappy about the club in general - players leaking things, complaining about training hard, recruitment. He isn't sold, and seemingly won't be until we stop hearing negative rumblings from the playing group.

Both agree that if we miss finals Brooks will move on (in the best interests of both him and the club).

Well seeing we allegedly tried to sign Finch for about 9 seasons straight ..he probably knows more than most

Ahh Finchy finchy finchy! As much as you were making sense, it would have been better if you were chugging on a beer as well.

So Peter VL has us the smokey - he doesnt get much wrong.

I just seen that on the news ..
So does this mean we’ll get a leg up from the refs ?

There will be plane loads of pigs landing at Mascot airport before Cummins Klein Atkins or the Suttons give us a fair go

I personally think the titans might not make the 8.

Finchy raised a really good point saying in the 5 wins in a row to end the year last year, they couldn't make finals from their position. Yes they looked good but they didn't have any expectation.

Now it's a new year with some great signings but EVERYONE is expecting them to make the 8. If they lose a couple games pressure mounts and the wheels might start wobbling.

I know they have a good side but i remember in 2012 we were favourites or close too to win the comp. Look what happened not even finals.

Lets enjoy the ride and bring on the season.

UP THE WESTS TIGERS

Where have you read or listened to Finchy?
Haven’t spotted him since MJP on Fox.
Does he have his own thing going?
