He just isn't really needed. He's an old injury prone utility. He mainly plays hooker and we have Api coming and a heap of talented juniors. I can't see him playing next season

Playing well in an awful team doesn't make you a good player by default.

He's got a bit of x factor but when you don't have many spots and coming last prob not what needed.

Also unsure what his best position is. He looked good at second row in state cup but not sure if that will transition into nrl

I’d be a little concerned if god forbid Api went down long term and we’ve let Liddle go as a backup.

Simpkin can’t play 80 for an entire season still being a rookie and then we’d be down to Rua, maybe Tannous as backup 9’s. Da Silva probably a few years away.

Otherwise we’d be moving players like Hastings or Brooks into the 9 to fill a gap and weaken the overall squad.

I think we need a handy experienced utility like Brown for exactly these reasons at the moment. Surely he wouldn’t be breaking the bank.

Yeah he’s surplus and you’re always going to balance your squad elsewhere if you can.

Waiting on which one of Doueihi, Brooks or Hastings will bail next…

The fact he was playing first grade shows how bad we were going. Skill set mainly consisted of going himself and diving over from dummy half.
