Fafita has been cut by the club and gone…..as reported in Tele today! So glad we made the right choice there, give Sheens his due on this one.

Well…. He played yesterday, seemed fine on leaving??
IF this happened, I find it hard to believe it happened between 5:30pm and the Tele found out
about it in time to make Print???

I wouldn't cut him. Make him waste away in the stands for the rest of the year, don't release him altogether.

what do u mean dailytelgraph or tv??

Daily Telegraph.

His comments when he'd signed with Cronulla and we were chasing Blair were pretty stupid. That said I don't think he has a lot going on between the ears. At first I was upset we'd lost him but we seem to be getting on fine without him.

its a shame he has seemed to self implode like this. still, an acrimonious departure makes it a lot easier not to be upset he is going…maybe he doesn't like goodbyes?!

I saw this article in this mornings tele. Rothfield is a joke. Fifita played for BRET. Where does this clown get his info from?

He gets half his info from this forum I reckon. The bloke is a deadset halfwit I can't describe how much I despise him. Aaaaarrrrrrgggh he makes me so cranky!

Yeah sit him behind Sheensy in the box

I dont care what anyone thinks, he was worth putting some effort into, he could have been a X factor in thr big gsmes off the bench. Okay he has bad attitude and bad work ethics, but he also might be that little bit of impact we are missing

K - sometimes you have to throw out an appe that's going bad.

I think the coach anf his team would have thought this thru b4 cutting him.

We have a great chance this year and nothing should be aloud to adversly risk it.

I'm not a fan, but if the club cut him they're dumb. What happens if we cop a stack of injuries over the next 2wks… Wat then?

This is total speculation on my part, but given Gibbs and Moltzen have remained integral parts of the first grade squad it's at least plausible: what if Fifita was given clear instructions regarding what he had to do to play first grade again before leaving (I'm thinking training hard, good performances in the reggies)? If he doesn't make efforts to achieve those goals, how can you then say "actually we don't mind that you appear to have bailed on us - we're short of players/feel like we need 'impact off the bench' so suit up."?

Personally I believe the coaching staff have demonstrated quite clearly through what they've done with Gibbs and Moltzen that they're not being vindictive to departing players and are prepared to use all the personnel who put in for the side and have first grade-worthy performances. If Fifita misses on either of those (and again, I personally have no evidence to suggest he does - I'm simply speculating based on the comparison between his fate and that of Gibbs/Moltzen) then I don't blame the club whatsoever for not considering him for first grade. And if he's not being considered for first grade, why let him hang around stinking the joint out?

In turn Gibbs, Moltzen, Mckinnon, and to a lesser extent, Flannagan have been putting in great efforts as they reach the end of their respective stints at the Tigers.

Then I would want them to pick anyone but Fifita anyway.

His kind of attitude is often a cancer in a team environment.

he obviously doesnt deserve or want to be there if he is getting sacked and has a poor attitude
i hope he smartens up, but for now it doesnt matter what he does he doesnt deserve to play finals as he hasnt been helping the team get there.
if we need depth give it to a reserve grader or nyc player who would appreciate the opportunity and has been busting their butt for their own side.
