I was wondering if any of you guys think we can make a play for Fafita ?
The club has stated that 1 Marquee signing per year a while back, the things we have in our favour is :
Positives :
*In our favour is that we have a new Management not the old one that stuffed him around last time.
*He has played with a lot of players from his under 20's days and has some tight relations with some of our current players with Woods apparently being his best mate
*He stated when he was with us that he loved the club and never wanted to leave ( I suppose all players would say that ?).
*Will see stability with our players coming through with potential in being a real force.

Negatives:
*He won't forget how he was treated
* Simply now we can't afford him
* The coaching issue not sorted past this Season

I think he won't come back , living in hope more so . I Don't know how this guy was let go Obviously we had money issues .
The Sharks are in real deep trouble (financially) .
I think he can command anywhere between $600,000 to $750,000 , I dare say Union will be throwing some big money his way with the World Cup Carrot a big endorsement for them.
I don't like our chancers but more so living in hope .
What Marquee player can we sign ?

I think we would be silly to pay over 600,000k for anyone outside of our spine…

I'm not loosing sleep over him don't get me wrong , but you can't say you wouldn't be thrilled if you learnt we signed him on a 3 year deal for e.g.
Every time I watch him play for the Sharks I shake my head that we let him go , the guy is a machine , palms players of like there midgets

I heard something similar, Souths started making a big play for Fifita once they learned Burgess might be switching codes.
 
If Austin doesn't deliver and if Moses takes too long with development then I also think we would be better off buying a 6\. Preferably a 6 with excellent goal kicking as Richards will be looking towards retirement after his two years with us.
I still believe that the Back Row is where we lack a marquee player. If Patterson turns out to be a gem then we should be alright, but still if we are going to pay big money it would have to be a Greg Bird type player
 
F has grown to be a gun, Bad Management practice to re hire him.

I fear he would disappoint at any price tag on his return.

We need players that aspire and desire to play here and are not following their wallet.

Recent examples… Woods, Farah,
 
Souths are going to have some serious contract upgrades in the next season or two

McQueen ,Keary ,Georgy Boy to name a few
