Has anyone else read this article, what game was this hack watching!

Some gems from the article:

"The disgusting act came after his brother copped a high tackle from Panthers hooker Api Koroisau — there were initial concerns Luciano Leilua suffered a fractured jaw, **and a penalty try was awarded**.

But Joey was unable to control his emotions, **giving away several penalties in the second half** before his eventual sin-binning."

Besides the penalty try, nothing you have quoted him as saying is incorrect.

Triple M’s 11am sports report noted that Penrith beat the Warriors 19-12.

I heard that while in the car

Deadset tools

Then when I got home on the Sunday footy show they were going though the injury reports and had Sam Mclntyre listed as a Pamfers player ..

Deadset amateur hour

Joeys effort on the panthers player was dumb but he never hit him with any force, the hit on his brother should be what the so called experts should be looking at .

Nah, what Joey did was just silly, he full smashed Edwards without the ball, outside of football that’s a criminal offence, high tackles and head contact with the ball in a tackle is part of the game, what Joey did was just criminal, we won’t see him play again for a while I presume.

Fox News described the shot on Lucky as “accidental”... Which yeah is hopefully technically true but you’d hope 99% of high shots are.

Joey went loco based on personal emotions from his brother getting hit but he’s got to channel his anger in a productive way.

That should make Garners hit at the end of the game accidental too. Was the shoulder charge on McIntyre charged?

It’s all outrage rubbish. Late shot, high, off the ball with not much force. He deserves a few weeks for stupidity.

Those thinking the Api shot was accidental are misguided. I did that at least 20 times in games and meant every one of them. It’s called taking your shot on a falling player they never call it as a suspension.

BJ saw the replay he was watching it before losing his cool. The reaction drew a smile from Madge in the box on the big screen. It was a dumb way to react he should have come in and led with the head or stood tall with shoulders and arms and ironed a bloke out cold.

We need Tommy or the old West’s forwards to have a chat and training session with BJ. Smarter aggression is the way to go.

Madge is right to lose it we are badly officiated and need to be way better than teams to win. It may be a blessing in disguise for BJ this happened now as Madge will be all over it.

So he gave away several penalties did he?

At least one. Seems you want to nitpick the article. The overall message was he carried on like a grub all game, which he did

Hardly nit picking. I’m not pointing out typos or grammatical errors, I’m calling out the journalist’s (and editor’s) reporting of facts which: incorrectly reported on a penalty try in one paragraph and exaggerated the number of penalties given away by a player on the very next paragraph.
The irony of being called a nit picker by the biggest one on this forum…

Does it matter? Anyone watching the game would know it wasn’t. Who cares. Most importantly he was right in calling out BJ as a grub
