Fans want Toovey at Tigers

A section of disgruntled Wests Tigers fans are pushing for Manly favourite Geoff Toovey to take over the reins at the joint venture in 2016.

The Tigers sacked Mick Potter last season - yet have gone backwards with a promising young side under Jason Taylor this year.

Toovey is about to be out of a job at Manly, with Trent Barrett set to inherit the reins next year.

But Toovey still boasts a good record as an NRL coach and the fans are pressuring the board for a change.

The board is sticking solid with Taylor - at least at the moment.

But the embattled coach will need to win games next year - and from early on - to be a chance of keeping his post in the long term.

Agreed Geo. And I think the poll is a great idea. There have been so many Sack Taylor threads and if the mob who posted the article are referencing the WTF then the current results are not going to please them. Not 1 vote for Toovey. Not sure it means there is a ton of support for JT, just more support then Toovey.

Easy to find out, just ask "Do you want Taylor to remain Coach???"
I'd love to see that result.
Won't change anything though. But neither does the question about Toovey.

Which is what the author most likely does, as well as sit at a keyboard…in between greasy crumbed drumsticks, fanta and pepperoni pizza slices
 
Can not remember to many coaches who have steered their team to a wooden spoon who have escaped
the media's spotlight. As the losses mount over the next few weeks the focus on Taylor will increase and I would imagine the honeymoon period is well and truly over and the media will be stirring the pot.

From where I sit, he deserves another year, but after that he should be hired or fired on results or lack of results.
 
Correct me if im wrong but all the fans want is us winning some games and competing in the finals

We really couldnt give a two hoots which coach gets us there, i know i personally couldnt care as long as he was capable of getting the job done and us playing finals footy

I think the RL fans want "The Lurker" aka "The Idiot" and Rothbaby sacked.

Why are there only 2 names in the poll?
 
This poll reminds me of the John Howard republic referendum.

Youd get a different result if the only other option wasnt from a hated a club who are struggling this year.
