Farah admits Potter will continue to bench him in 2013

IMO the real reason he benched Farah was to see what marshall & Miller would do in his absence and under pressure. The fact Miller was relegated this week is probably indicative of what Potter thought of his performance during the period Farah was off the field. I watched Marshall when Robbie went off and straight after half time and whilst he initially lifted in intensity (even made a tackle using his shoulder) his intensity didn't take log to drop off.

No doubt this was apart of Potters thinking, but he forgot to give the instructions to allow this to happen.

Miller got no ball the whole time Iosefa was at dummy half. It was 100% the Marshall show!

Missed the point it probable wasn't the exact right time …but the Coach had to see if losefa would be the answer and he got his answer let the guy go somewhere else. The work load that farah will have in 3 months time will be huge .Potter has it right just needs a better No 9 option and the time right.

I think Snake makes a good point. One of few positives for this year is that Potter seems to make selections based on what he sees on the field. Iosefa dumping is a good sign.

quite liking almost every decision potter has made this year. not every one had positive consequences, but hindsight is 20/20 and i can always see where he came from and he's always had solid reasoning in my opinion.

however, what do you mean iosefa has been let go? i thought he was on the plane to melbourne after fults was ruled out?

Unless Farah himself want s off the field, I would leave him alone. Thats the problem when you have a replacment hooker on the bench instead of another big forward. The coach feels obligated to use this small bench player. I think that we have got it right for the storm, unfortunatley its against the storm. Hopefully we will see how well it will work.

I can understand that Potter would have in the back of his mind the need for a contingency plan for if/when Farah is selected for rep duties. I don't know whether this influenced the decision to rest Farah however if it did then it was the wrong move imo it is better to go with your strength whilst you have it and make the most of it dont give the opposition any breaks unless there is no choice.

What is a bigger concern is what strategy Potter has for SOO time if Farah is selected there doesn't appear to be an obvious replacement at the necessary standard.

I can't see anyone getting picked at Hooker for NSW other than Farrah tbh. Not on current form and experience. But, sillier SOO selections have certainly been made before.
