FARAH - 'I CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR'

Tsk tsk….the cynicism is dripping of the walls.

If you cant see why we are looking good for next year, well then Im gobsmacked.

The way we finished the year off,the boys really know they are good enough to win this comp.

We have missed out on making the finals by the smallest of margins after recovering from a mid season slump where we were smashed with injuries and lost a host of games by 2 points or less.

We win 7 out of our last nine, and with an ounce of luck it could have been 9 straight and in 5th place.

So many good kids blooded,Bunji in career best,Fulton back and dont tell me Ellis,Rhino,KG and co wont be better after getting their injuries right and months off.

I was a little lacklustre about 09.But to me 10 looks unreal.............i cant wait cis I reckon we are gonna win it or go close.

Naysayers feel free to save this post and shove it in my face this time next year when we are in the top 4.

Cheers.

Simon., it's me, optomistic Alad, but it's just me, being frustrated after looking at this week's Big League, and reading nothing about our NRL team….and rightly so.I agree on most part of what you posted.
The above post was more a go at Cuzzo's constant sugercoated articles........
PS I posted last week that I think the WT will make the top 4......I just wouldn't mind a couple of Prop signings..as there must be some good coin left in the Kitty.

We should have made the finals!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im still dirty on us and those close games earlier in the season!

Bit early for them to be sprouting all this crap isn't it??

Give us a couple of months to cool down then you'll find us in a different headspace. We'll probably even believe you….........

Years of being a tigers man tells me that one years form very seldom flows on into the next and that every year is a new year and some teams over achieve and others under achieve. On paper we look strong, Ellis,Farah,Marshall,Lawerence,Galloway,Tnt and the likes hard not to be excited but in the end it comes down to forgetting 2009 and starting the hard work for 2010 and also a heap of luck. Take this year, Lazarus dosnt do his knee in, get the no1 gig, kicks at 80% and we are in the top four.

Anyway I must admit Iam a lot more hopeful re 2010 than I was at the start of 2009–-fingers crossed

I'd like to get excited about those comments but I'm not. Easy to say the end of this year we were final worthy/top material/champion beaters and found some superb late form but gee, next year is whole different kettle of fish. We start again at level peggings with everyone else and our end of season finish has given us no advantages.
The Warriors and Sharks were certainly thinking TOP 4 in 2009 and look where they ended up.
This comp is too unpredictable and it comes down to physical/mental toughness over 30 odd weeks, injury toll and a good slice of luck.

I'd love to see us Top 4 but my early thoughts tell me we'll be lucky to make the Top 8\. As soon as Sheens learns not to experiment too long and this team can learn to win the tight ones, we could be waiting a while for another Finals appearance. :brick:

i also agree in saying that im alot more hopeful for next season than i was this one

Rugby league can be a torturous game to watch when your team is losing, and even more when you miss out on the 8\. For the first time since 2006 I am actually highly confident we can make the 8, or perhaps the 4\. If the form we showed in the last 10 rounds can be replicated, the other teams will be pooping their pants with discomfort. if that form was shown for the whole year, i think we would've lost only 5 games. I suppose we were close to that, if we had've beaten " the taunting trio " in consecutive rounds. that bulldogs, souths and brisbane came back to bite us on the arse
