Just heard the Australian squad named for the 4N….Robbie, Chris and Keith all selected to tour

Congrats all three

Paul Gallen,
David Shillington,
Akuila Uate,
Cooper Cronk,
Billy Slater,
Cameron Smith,
Matt Scott,
Johnathan Thurston,
Luke Lewis,
Darren Lockyer,
Corey Parker,
Sam Thaiday,
Jharal Yow Yeh,
Anthony Watmough,
Brett Stewart,
Glenn Stewart,
Daly Cherry Evans,
Tony Williams,
Darius Boyd,
Greg Inglis,
David Taylor,
Chris Lawrence,
Keith Galloway,
Robbie Farah

So obviously Robbie's not having surgery on the groin then
Or maybe get it done after four nations finished
Congratulations to Robbie ,Keefy, Rowdy
Oh and not to forget Benji,Rhino and Gareth
Hope you all play well and DON'T GET INJURED

So Farah has not got a problem with the groin! well not until next year a bit of a joke really. Sometimes missing out for an operation with R& R and good preparation in the off season makes alot a sence . Well done Kieth and Chris .

I heard Farah say towards the end of the year the injury is now fine, its no issue

Im glad Woods isnt there….we dont need our players getting charity rep selections, he'll be a better player by earning it legit

Just remember this may not be the final squad as they will all have to face medicals in the next few days Probably only surprise for me is Tony Williams

I think Tony Williams is a terrible selection, he was average all year, at one point he was almost out of the 17 for Manly.

I rate DCE, but feel 3 half backs is excessive. Glad they have shown faith in Lawrence.

Congrats to all the boys.

Surprised to see Shillington there who had a very quiet year. I think he was injured for some time? Thought Hannant may have been there instead.

They are VERY light on front rowers … Matt Scott, David Shillington and Keefy are the only three, unless Sheens chooses to use Dave Taylor and/or Thaiday in the front row, which he's done before.

From that squad, I'd have the team against NZ as:

1\. Slater
2\. Uate
3\. Inglis
4\. Lawrence
5\. Yow Yeh (both he and Uate play right side though)
6\. Lockyer
7\. Thurston
8\. Scott
9\. Smith
10\. Galloway
11\. Thaiday
12\. Lewis
13\. Gallen

14\. Cronk
15\. G. Stewart
16\. Shillington
17\. Taylor

I agree that three half backs is unnecessary.

Perhaps Gallen will play at prop? There are seven other back rowers in the squad to cover for him. But that looks good for Keithy.

Also only two specialist centres looking good for Chris!

Can't see Farah getting much of a look in though…

He has Gallen to use at prop also Alex If he can play Prop at Origin he can play it in Tests also

It's a very Sheens squad … back rowers everywhere!

Sheens is a big fan of Gallen. Just cause Ricky Stuart wanted to try something unconventional and put him in the front row doesn't mean he's now a qualified front rower. Sheens will play Thaiday in the front row before he plays Gallen there (as he's done before).

Really pleased for the three boys, all deserved.

Perfect little glimpse for Woods - he has seen what he has to look forward to if he keeps putting in the hardwork.

Williams and Taylor are dead set ordinary selections, the rest of the squad is very good.

I think the poms may be shitting themselves seeing them two coming off the bench

Maybe, the **POST EDITED BY ADMIN** themselves every time Inglis runs the ball.

Agreed.

Congrats to all the boys. Interesting that Keith is the only NSW prop chosen - does this mean he is now at the top of the heap for NSW Origin selection next year (after his stunning 8 minute contribution lol) or is it just Sheens playing favourites?

Like others on here, I think Shillington and Williams are probably lucky to be there, but they will probably go ok given when given the chance. The most surprising thing for me is that only 1 Dragon made it! :astonished:
