You eat before you get eaten

Farah has had his hands all over two coaches being sacked

But that's OK cause he is a club legend

The same club legend whose manager tried to involve two innocent players in some garbage

But that's OK he is a club legend

The same player who now thinks we owe him 2.3 million instead of 1.95 million

But that's OK he is a club legend

The same bloke who has been involved in getting rid of players that he and Benji didn't like

But that's Ok he is a club legend

The same bloke whose best form at club level was gone mid 2012 and has seriously gone backwards since

But that's OK he is a club legend

Lucky he is a club legend , because if he was an over the hill ,trouble rousing , only cares for himself s o a b he'd be gone

Hang on all that stuff he's done doesn't make him a club legend , does it ??

Robbie Farah needs the WT's far more than the WT's need him

:bawling give it a rest

Gotta love the protected species

I'm no footy coach , just a mad tigers fan and mug punter , but something tells me that The NSW coach wants Farah , World all Stars coach want Farah , Taylor don't want Farah , I know who I would be siding with out of these guys
And as for Bennett picking Maranta , it's his old mates son that's the only reason I can come up with

It's a mickey mouse comp.

I'm pretty sure that they talk to the clubs first and see which player they can spare. Farah's selection (on the bench I might add) would largely be because he isn't injury prone so the Tigers would have offered him up. They would have veto'd Woods and Teddy due to their off-season surgery.

Farah named for All Stars Match

NRL Media Release

Tue 15th December, 12:24PM

Some of the biggest names in the NRL have been chosen to play in the NRL Harvey Norman All Stars match in Brisbane in February.

For the first time, a World All Stars team has been chosen to take on the reigning champion Indigenous All Stars team at Suncorp Stadium on February 13.

It will include stars of the calibre of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Semi Radradra, James Graham and Martin Taupau.

Indigenous All Stars coach Laurie Daley and World All Stars coach Wayne Bennett named their teams in Brisbane today, with both expecting the match to be one of the best in the six years of the match.

Sam Burgess (World All Stars) and James Roberts (Indigenous All Stars) have been included in their respective squads, subject to finalising NRL contracts before the match is played.

Daley said his team would again be headed by Johnathan Thurston and Greg Inglis but would also include emerging stars including Chris Grevsmuhl and Jack Wighton.

“This is such a special game for our players,” Daley said.

“The online voting and competition for positions was so intense – and the players want to be part of this match.

“We have picked a strong side full of players who have represented at the highest level for years.

“And it never hurts to have the Dally M Player of the year and Grand Final hero as your captain!”

Bennett was also full of praise for his side.

“The extended option to pick a World All Stars team means our fans will get the chance to see two high quality teams in the 2016 event,” Bennett said.

“It is a new challenge for these guys to be playing alongside each other rather than against and one that I am sure they will relish.”

Minister for Tourism and Major Events, Kate Jones, said the Harvey Norman Rugby League All Stars match reinforced Queensland’s position as host to Australia’s best live events in the best destinations.

“It is a great time for the fans to see both teams taking shape, and to get excited about the game in February next year,” Minister Jones said.

“The new World All Stars concept is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland and has created an exciting energy around the match, with tens of thousands of supporters expected to crowd Suncorp Stadium when their rugby league heroes take to the field.

“Major events such as this are vital to Brisbane’s tourism industry, which generates $6.3 billion to the local economy and supports almost 65,000 jobs.”

Chair of the Australian Rugby League Indigenous Council, Linda Burney, joined Minister Jones in support of the match.

“This match is a significant highlight on the rugby league calendar and I have no doubt that we will see plenty of support and good will for both teams,” Ms Burney said.

Tickets are on sale now at http://www.nrl.com/tickets, with prices starting at $20 for an adult and $50 for a family pass.

Fans can purchase their All Stars merchandise at http://www.nrlshop.com and click on ‘teams’.

Both teams will be in Brisbane in the week leading up to the match, with a range of community activities planned, including an Indigenous Youth Summit and open fan sessions to meet players.

Good rant Happy

I just can't believe some on here can't look at Farah without black ,gold and white sunglasses on FG

As someone else said apart from Warren MacDonnell the only constant at this club is Farah

No way it is coincidental , no way in hell

Happy, it must irk you to end that the selectors see a top player in Robbie - it goes without saying that you have superior knowledge to them. In my eyes Robbie has turned you into a miserable sod - sorry to say, and also sorry to say that this thread has denigrated into what it has.

Another claimed constant throughout all the misery of human existence has been God's creation of the world - so God gets all the blame for everything all the poor guy does not even exist!

You must also be wearing sunglasses when you chose your user name "Happy" - anything but.

Firstly the "happy " has nothing to do with my demeanour , a partial nickname for where I live

And which selectors do you speak of ??

WT's selectors haven't chosen a side yet , and the All Stars would of chosen a name off a list we provided

Seeing Tedesco had minor knee surgery in the off season , the list would of been pretty short from the WT's

They probably felt sorry for him :bawling

Another thread derailed.

Why is it derailed ??

I'm arguing that I don't believe in any way ,shape or form should Robbie Farah be representing this club at the All Star challenge

Give Sirro ,Moses or Nofoaluma a chance to shine with the big boys if you want

But how do you think Robbie represents us at the moment Masterton ??

Any interview will be spun around to make us look bad , give a younger bloke a chance to mix with a higher calibre player who will just excited about playing with blokes he never dreamed of playing with

Grandson , Lachlan Maranta is Brett Plowman's son , not Barry Maranta's son

I have to agree with you Happy. The last thing Farah should be doing is representing our club amongst all this drama. I'd feel much more comfortable if he kept a low profile, trained hard and as you said, let someone like Sue, Simona, or Nofo (Teddy not considered) who are our established rising stars get a taste of playing with the big boys. It would be much more beneficial for the player.

[shrugs] I share many of your concerns. This post I'm replying to is just fine. Your initial post, where you rehashed many of the reasons you don't respect Farah, was a derailment. Not aimed directly at you, Happy. Just frustrating to see so many threads go down the same anti-Farah or anti-Taylor path.

FWIW, there's no way I would have nominated Farah, but I'm pretty sure there is undisclosed criteria (ie, they want rep players if possible.)

I'm not Anti Farah on field Masterton , he has been a true warrior on field

Its the off field stuff he (and Marshall for that fact ) should of NEVER gotten involved with that annoys the hell out of me and a fair few other fans

He sits in interviews and says he loves the WT's , yet has done things that completely oppose that same statement

He might love the WT's , but only if it is run the way Robbie Farah wants it run

And unfortunately (like Benji ) I will remember him only for the trouble he has caused the club I support and love

Thats a shame because without these two guys you and I and everyone else would be lucky if this JV would still be in existance today.

Robbie Farah has withdrawn fron the All Stars game as he won tickets to the Superbowl in the USA…

Be interesting to see who Unca Wayne picks as his replacement...
