FARAH TO OPEN TIGER TIGER RESTAURANT

Wests Tigers captain Robbie Farah is set to add another milestone to his wonderful rugby league career this week but this time, it is as a restaurant owner.

The much awaited ‘Tiger Tiger’ Restaurant will open to the public this Wednesday for lunch and dinner and Farah has offered a special 10 per cent discount to Wests Tigers Members for the rest of the NRL season.

Members must produce their members card when ordering to receive the discount.

‘Tiger Tiger’ offers a full bistro menu as well as a selection of pasta, schnitzels and pizzas.

“The Wests Tigers Members have always been supportive of my playing career so I thought I would repay them back in a small way by offering them this special discount,’’ Farah said.

“If any Member is heading to our game on Sunday against Melbourne at Leichhardt Oval, I suggest they call in to ‘Tiger Tiger’ for a great lunch. It may also be the place to celebrate after the match too if we can get a win.

“I know plenty of my team-mates are going to be enjoying the food that ‘Tiger Tiger’ offers in coming weeks, so who knows, you may even bump into one of the players there.

“I have named a few meals too after my team-mates such as the Benji Wagu Burger, The Heinno Pizza, the Lote Pizza (the lot). Of course, there is the Farah Pizza - tomato, garlic prawns, roasted capsicum and chilli.”

Tiger Tiger is located at The Zoo Bar, Level 1, 55 Norton Street, Leichhardt.

FARAH'S 'TIGER TIGER' RESTAURANT NOW OPEN

There was plenty of food, glamour and the odd rugby league star in attendance when Wests Tigers captain Robbie Farah opened his much anticipated ‘Tiger Tiger’ Restaurant in Leichhardt last night.

More than 400 people enjoyed the chance to christen ‘Tiger Tiger’ as players from several NRL teams mixed with VIP guests and close family and friends of Farah.

A keen chef himself, Farah told the audience how proud and excited he was to have established a new venture in his life and was looking forward to ‘Tiger Tiger’ becoming a successful establishment.

Entertainment was provided by comedians Tahir and Rob Shehadie from TV hit show Fat Pizza while MC Rodney O talked up ‘The House of Farah’.

Almost the entire Wests Tigers team and coaching staff were present along with NRL stars Sam Burgess, Jamal Idris, Dene Halatau, Corey Payne, John Morris, Jason Nightingale as well as former soccer stars Mark Bosnich and Robbie Slater.

The Matty Johns Show used the opportunity to record some funny segments through their ‘news man’ Warren Kent.
