@LARDS said:If the refs had sinbinned Watts at the first instance the second fight wouldn't have happenned.
Farah had no choice but to take matters into his own hands.
Even Shayne Hayne knew it.
@smeghead said:The message here is
Two props fighting it toe to toe in Origin is ok
A hooker getting square for a blindside king hit in the next scrum is a breech of the rules.
It was sorted on the field

Exactly what my Mrs said tonight.
@Paris Cobbs said:Is it possible to find out why we got the penalty? Because if we got it because Watts threw the first punch in the second scrum, then surely Robbie is innocent. I suspect the real reason we got the penalty was because the ref was unable to penalise Watts for the first scrum.
And what did the ref mean by what he said to Robbie as the second scrum packed down? Was he giving Robbie the go-ahead to exact revenge as long as he got it over with quickly?

Sure it was good to see but as has been said countless times, these blokes are role models to children. Children should be taught the value of walking away from a fight. Watts has got a harder penalty that Robbie anyway.
Punching somebody, whether or not it's as reprisal is not in the spirit of any game except a martial art. Robbie is guilty of beating the heck out of a guy. He has been given the option of taking it on the chin and escaping suspension. Watts, who is the villain here moreso, has been given an equally fair punishment.
There is nothing to be said here. I think the real difference between this and the origin fight was that the Origin one was one incident. Over with after the blokes saw red. This one was premeditated on both sides imo.

I don't know about you but i'd like my kids to stand up for themselves as long as they don't start fights, I have no problem with them finishing them…

Only if there is no other action they can take. If there are other ways they can get revenge other than succumbing to being a brute, then I suppose they must. I'd rather them make the kid look like an idiot in front of the whole school with some devious scheme, that' d make me way prouder. I'd rather my child learn to solve problems with means other than throwing their fists around.
