WESTS Tigers captain Robbie Farah has flown home to Sydney and is out of the Four Nations tour due to a family illness.
The Tigers captain was due to go to Berlin with captain Darren Lockyer and 15 other Kangaroo teammates on Sunday when he received a telephone call from his brother in Australia.
Farah's mother, Sonia, is ill.
The Daily Telegraph has been told Farah immediately consulted coach [Tim Sheens](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Sheens) and was granted leave on compassionate grounds.
The Wests Tigers captain sent a message out to his mother before boarding the plane from London for Sydney simply stating: "I love you Mum".
Kangaroos coach Sheens confirmed Farah had been granted leave and would take no further part in the Four Nations campaign.
"I don't really think there's too much I should comment about. Rob's been granted leave and he's gone home," Sheens said.
"There's a family issue but that's not for me to comment on."

But when Lockyer passed a fitness test, coach [Tim Sheens](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Sheens) devised an alternative game plan and left Farah out of the Kangaroos final 17.
